When was the last time you cleaned your Taco's engine?

Glad to see I’m not the only psycho getting under there and wiping down the undercarriage.

 

I cleaned my engine every time I wash the truck or car and sometimes I just power wash the dust off the vehicle's outside and ALWAYS do the engine bay and hood bottom side.

I do it only on a cool or cold engine and have never had a problem.

I have a 25 year old ... 2 HP, 20 amp electric pressure washer pushing a cat pump and it is perfect for this job (about as strong as a gas 1700-2000 psi machine).

The vehicle engine is very easy to clean as long as you do it often and it takes 2 minutes with the hose or power washer.

PS ... I pressure wash the wheel wells and the underside each time too and I live in the south were we have no salt on the roads here 99.9999% of the time.

 

Filthy wheel wells, lol. I notice that all the time with vehicles sitting at stop lights and drives me nuts. Like how can one be so lazy they can't run a brush and some soap around there? That's right up there with fingerprints all over the glass and the sides of the door.

Engine bay? I'll spray it down with an electric pressure washer and DI water every once in a while, but it doesn't ever get all that dirty. Mostly dust.

 

Time to do mine again. Cover up and use simple green and water hose
