I had negotiated a near msrp price on a 2018 white tacoma trd pro that the dealer was going to source from a near by dealership. The dealer called to tell me the next day that they 2018 they thought was in stock was no longer available but they would honor the exact price on the 2019. They also told me the 2019 would be available in 2 weeks. That was 4 weeks ago. Now they are guessing it will be another 3 or 4 weeks but they don't know for sure. Meanwhile my rental car bill is racking up fast.

I dont see where a single white 2019 tacoma trd pro is availabe in the US yet. Just the new blue color. I have found a new 2018 for sale that I could pick up tomorrow, but would rather get the 2019 for the same price. However, if its going to be 2 or 3 months before the white ones are available my rental bill will be sky high.

If anyone has connections at toyota and can tell me when the 2019 white trd pros will hit hte lots I would greatly appreciate it. Also, let me know if you think its worth the wait on the 2019 for the same price.

The Cincinnati region has 1 in their stock. Have to work through a dealer to get it, but there is at least 1 2019 White Pro out there.

Just out of curiosity, other than the good price what is your reason for wanting a 2019 over the 2018?

For me it is the opposite, if I could get a MT 6spd 2018 in Voodoo Blue... I would take it in a heart beat. Honestly I would rather NOT have the JBL and the sun roof. Unfortunately there is no way to get the color I want without them. In reality, if I was willing to get any other color and could find a manual trans, I would get the 2018.

I would have the dealer reduce that agreement to writing...that would lend clarity and enforceability to your relationship...Otherwise they are just stroking you! Probably won’t see any 19’s in white til the end of November at minimum.

They have already "hit lots". When your dealership will get an allocation is anyones guess. They will never be common place on lots. Your dealership is just stringing you along because they want the sale. They probably have no idea when Toyota will allocate them one and it's not something they have control over. Best bet is to forget the deal and find one yourself, especially if you're in a rental until you do.

You are going to have to wait around until that dealer get allotted one from Toyota (which they may never).

You need to be actively looking for one and grab it.

You could be waiting for months if you are just waiting on one dealer.

I just joined this forum today and it is flat out awesome. So many people eager to jump in and help.

The reason I wanted to wait on the 2019 is that in theory a 2019 is worth more than a 2018 the day you drive it off the lot. I did also like the idea of getting the updated sound system and moon roof free of charge.

I fear what everyone has said though - the dealer has to wait for their allotment and it could be months upon months before this occurs. I was told the dealer is #1 volume dealer in the US so they get preference, but who knows. I'm sure they are just stroking me so I don't run off. I may go look at the 2018 tomorrow. Might be able to get a solid deal on it given its late in 2018.

For what its worth, I have not seen a white 2019 anywhere. If anyone can find a link to a website showing one I would greatly appreciate it!

[IMG] I don't know how helpful this is, but I'm waiting for my allocation to be built still. Super White 2019 Pro with Desert Air Intake. Build date (from the stealer) is 10/30/18. According to Toyota's website, some white inventory is available as early as the 23rd of October. I know I didn't add much to the conversation, but just know I'm in the same boat as you.

Well welcome to the forum. Just remember with all the good there are a few haters in the forum, just ignore them as they pop up. I ordered my Pro (blue) a week or so ago and it looks like I won't see it for about 3-4 months. I wanted this specific color (only available in 2019 PRO) and in a Manual Trans (special order only).

If you are looking for the Moonroof and JBL options then a 2019 is probably going to be the way to go. Honestly those two items I would have rather not had, moonroofs leak and on occasion explode for no reason (It happens more than you might think) and the JBL stereo while better than the standard stereo is still not all that impressive. it also limits your ability to upgrade easily. That said get what you want! that is what is all about!

Thanks all. No sooner than I made this post I did a search on cars.com and for the first time ever I’m seeing a few white 2019’s available. I sort of think within the next 3 weeks there will be one on my dealers lot so I am going to wait.

In terms of price, are most people paying at or above msrp for these? I see some dealers with 10k premiums on them. That seems crazy

If you have 10K extra laying around, give 8k of it to me and I will find you a 2019 Super white TRD pro at MSRP and you can keep the 2k for mods... lol Sorry, but if you pay 5-15K over MSRP at a dealership you just don't know what you are doing.

@Hillzz While Toyota Dealers trade within their own Region, Toyota Regions don't trade with each other...but...you can buy anywhere in the Country and do your TT&L back in your home State. What Region are you located in?
