@Hillzz, I'm in NW FL buying mine at MSRP. Same region as you. Called the dealer today and it should be here beginning of November.

Unless he has a blue pro, I don’t see a swap happening.

The JBL and Sun roof are not free of charge. The 2019 is ~$1,650 more expensive than the 2018. In reality is even more, I picked up a 2018 for $2,200 under MSRP today.

If you can find a 2018 it would definitely be a better buy if you don't want the sunroof & JBL. As mentioned above those options are not free.. the MSRP on a 2019 is $1,900 more then my 2018.

I'd rather have the 18 since the 19 won't have the cubbie in the bed. All else is equal.

I was told originally the dealer would honor the same price on a 2019 as the 2018. I do have some concern that when the 2019 comes in they will change their story, but I have a long string is texts and emails saying the price will hold. That being said, recently I was told we know know you are patiently waiting so we will make sure you get a good pricing on the 2019. I thought this was strange to mention pricing when we had already agreed to a figure

What do you mean about the cubbie? Is something different about the 2018 bed?

Yes there was a cubbie (pocket with a door in the left side of the bed behind the wheelwell) it is now GONE... Just a flat panel in it's place. Many didn't like it but many did. For me the option for storage was good.

Its a bummer they got rid of that compartment in the back left of the truck. In my opinion you can never have enough storage bins. I'm sure they did this to save a little money.

For now I'm going to confirm the price I negotiated on the 2018 is good on the 2019. The dealer has always said this is the case but then hinted MSRP of 2019's was going up as a way for them to try and increase the price at the last minute. Assuming the price remains the same, I'm going to go with the 2019. If they provide any out at all for them to increase the price on the 2019 I'm going to tell them to pound on sand and get the 2018. I'm thinking the 2018 that is available at a competing dealer will be even less than what I have negotiated to date. A 2018 for a thousand or more less than a 2019 could well be worth it. I could see how some serious off roaders (which isn't me...but I know most are who buy these) wouldnt' want the sun roof anyway. To some people the sunroof could be less desirable.

I'll keep everyone posted. I'm encouraged to see white 2019's starting to hit the lot. I'm thinking in just a few weeks my dealer may have one. As largest dealer in SE region I would think they would get reasonable priority to get what they want.

Your math might be flawed. One of the other posters in this thread indicated he bought his pro 2k below msrp. If the 2019 pro price did go up nearly 2k to cover moonroof, jbl, etc. then the gap between the 18 and the 19 could be more like 4-5k for a good negotiater. Model year changeover is a great time to get it at a reduced price.

I think I can get the 2019 for $44,999 inclusive of delivery fees toyota care. I dont know what I can get the 2018 for, I'm going to go see them tomorrow but my gut tells me 44,300 or maybe 44,000 at the bottom. Every dealer I go to has no problem watching you walk out the door when your offer is low on these TRD Pros. I dont think i can create a 4-5k spread between the 2018 and 2019. The very most i can see the 2019 going for is 46,500, and I dont see the 2018 going for 42,000.

It’s all about timing. I called multiple dealers for a couple months. I know I got super lucky but I haggled and walked numerous times. Last day of the month is always the best day to buy one.

I find it hard to believe that your dealership will honor the 2018 price given the 2000.00 increase for 2019, especially for a Pro that they only will be getting a very limited supply. Plus would be able to sell for 2019 MSRP all day long!
I'm a little disappointed that in the near future should I want to get a new Pro that I have to pay extra for a sunroof and JBL for neither I care for.

I have a bunch of texts and an email from them saying they would. However, I also have a few texts just "letting me know" the msrp has gone up on the 2019. When I respond that the rising MSRP is not my problem, they dont say much and confirm the pricing I have is still good. Ill be beyond upset if I spent 1,500 on a rental car from them while waiting for my 2019, only to find out they dont honor our deal. That would be an incredibly bad move on their part.

I would be emailing dealers in Florida that have a 2018 to confirm. Sure would not hurt.

I would get something in writing versus relying on text or email, especially for something so expensive.

You can keep the sunroof on the 19s...how stupid not to make it an option instead of required.
