10k over sticker? Why didn’t you just import one from Canada?

    Pretty much stock right now
Did someone say we have to give them up? I guess death would count then.

The price of first gen is ridiculous but it's understandable at the same time, paying 15+ grand for a 10 year old truck seems like a terrible idea but you have to consider they last 300,000+ miles all the time.

I'm at 235k now on my 03. Great little truck but little is the operative word there. It's my 17th Toyota 4x4 and my last one was an 05 DCSB that I loved. Ahhh divorce. So worth it. Anyhow I'll probably hold onto this one until I can pay cash for a super-clean DCSB 2012-up TRD OR. Then set that one up like my 05 was. But I gotta build another house first so that will be a bit. I know it'll last though!

I wasn’t aware that configuration was available in Canada at the time. Otherwise I would have. In hindsight I’m glad I didn’t end up with the 3.5l though

When will you give up your truck. My answer in the infamous words of Charleton Heston " when they pry it from my cold dead hands"

I’m currently trying to get my old 95.5 back. Gave it to a friend a couple years ago for helping me do a bunch of work on my house. He hasn’t driven it in a year or two and it’s curretly just sitting in his back yard collecting dust. He just had another kid and is strapped for cash so I think I have a pretty good chance at buying it back from him. We’ll see.

Now pretty much. I bought a 2017 OR 4x4 to replace my '99 Prerunner.

I currently have about 277,000 miles on my '03. The engine (2.7L) still runs perfect. I've changed out most of the suspension parts over the past year. Just did a front wheel bearing, too. My goal is to get to 350,000. If she's still running good by then, I'll shoot for another 100,000. If anything major happens to the engine or transmission, I'll probably move on & become a 3rd-genner.

I plan on passing her down to my future kids, but even then I'm not sure I'll get rid of it
