AZ the modded ones at least appeared to be for overlanding / setup for function, here in IL Chi burbs they seem to be just bro'd out and poor in taste, with some overweight middle aged monster drinking looking dude behind the wheel.

 

As a former and longtime TJ and JK owner I was so freaking used to throwing the “Jeep wave” that I found myself throwing it even while driving my wife’s Outback.
But, now that I’m a new “Taco Bro” after trading in the old JK, I find myself staring at every damn Tacoma on the road. Mostly it’s because I am so stoked on the Tacoma and seeing other owners mods and the way they set their trucks up is of interest to me. Do I have a weird urge to throw a “hey bro” wave their way? Sure, that’s just a little natural after coming from a Jeep. But, after seeing five or six Tacos lined up at a stop light I realize that we’re all a dime a dozen so I admire or judge in an instant then travel on my own merry way, just digging on my vibe and content to live my best Taco life!
