Awesome guess I missed it when is the next one do you know?

 

Now that I've got my truck in safe operating condition, I'm ready to hit the trails at Richloam to shake things down (and learn how to drive my Lincoln locked front end) before the Citrus meet in November.

So...anyone up for a day of trail riding at Richloam on either 9/28 or 10/5? Ideally, I'd like to have at least one other 4WD along to rescue me in case I get crazy and push the envelope a bit, but 2WDs shouldn't have a ton of trouble as long as they have decent tires.

 

whenever you want to set one up, there are quite a few tpa and st pete members, but doesn't look like many of us are as active as the orlando people

 

i'm supposed to be having some school event on that day, but if time doesn't conflict, i think i'd be interested on the 28th, however i don't have 4wd or offroad tires, mine are almost brand new street tires though

It's off of SR50 and 471 (CR?) (28 28'52.52"N, 82 3'16.64"W)

Lots of trails, everything from graded dirt roads to tiny two trackers. Lots of water crossings, most pretty mild but some that look and get pretty hairy. Mostly they are hard sandy bottom, but there's a few places where you can play in some thick gooey swamp mud (you generally have to drive into them deliberately since there's alternate routes around those places).

No real technical challenges that I'm aware of, but it's still a lot of fun.

Edit: BTW, I mapped out about a 50 mile route through the more interesting-looking trails. Might not be able to go down all of them, depending on how wet it is, but this is definitely a full day ride.

More than likely. I may or may not do that to mine before I got, but I'm planning on changing my diff lube after anyway just to see if anything got in it.

As far as capability, as long as you've got recovery points you should be fine.
