    it wouldn't make sense if there is a surge.... ip addresses are ok i'd say cuse if you wanted to you can go to the public library and create a new one from each computer, but if there are votes with 0 posts started in the past day or 2, that's sketch, i doubt OP would be able to check IP without mods, but I think OP can look at who votes

    Anyone ever had a CV axle replaced at a shop? Busted my outer passenger side boot and need to replace it. Took it to one place and they wanted to replace the whole axle.

    It's probably a more cost effective option. Aftermarket CV axles are pretty cheap. More so than paying a tech to disassemble your factory CV to put new boots on it. That and if the boot is torn, then there's a good chance you've gotten dirt and moisture in there and the joint won't last long anyway. That said, if you've got the cash, get a factory CV axle, either new or from the salvage yard because in most cases, the parts house CV axles are fragile crap.

    I would say that it's not hard to replace a CV axle and you should do it yourself and save the money, but I've never actually witnessed a successful attempt to get the CV out of the wheel hub on a 2nd Gen. I'm sure it can be done, but that thing is in there tight as Dick's hatband. I'm sure there has to be some sort of press rig that can be used to force it out though. Beyond that, it's an easy job that can be done in under 2 hours if you're not in a hurry. :cool:

    Well, I can tell you from experience, I've broken about 4 lifetime warrantied Autobone CV axles fairly easily over the last 4 years and only 1 factory CV...although, in fairness, when the factory CV went, it took the lockout and the wheel hub with it because it snapped the stub axle, where as the Autobone CVs just popped the brif joint and nothing else was damaged (aside from a small dent in my shock).

    The Autobone CVs break extremely easy though...at least on my setup, which I admit is pretty brutal on the driveline. Your mileage may vary. ;)

    I'm assuming you have them mounted and whatnot. How are you trying to wire them? Is it a pre-made wiring harness that came with the lights? What switch are you using? Are you using a relay? It should be a pretty straight forward process. Did you test the lights to make sure they worked? Did ya make sure any the fuse you were using was good? I know that's kinda basic, but we've all gotten bit by the simple stuff once in a while. :D
