My 2010 Tacoma came from the Toyota de Baja California plant, located along Mexico Highway 2, between Tijuana and Tecate...

We drove past it on our last trip... no place to pull over, so photos were shot on the go:

So you're going to stop spending money and no longer contribute to the economy? Good, that'll help.

So..... apparently they don't teach you to how to construct a proper sentence at that fancy Wake Forest?

Umm can some of you peopel learn to use a period and the return button for a few paragraphs??

Just talked to a guy who worked in detroit for 15yrs in the car industry. he said that the tacomas are assembled in the US and that the motor, electronic, and transmisson are made in Japan then sent here to be put in the trucks.

Have you sat in a new 150 lately? Junk they are not. The fit and finish is as good as Toyota's, the interior materials are five notches better than in any Tacoma, and lets not get into available options. We get slapped with shitty JBL six disk changers while the 150s have NAV, info, Bluetooth, MP3 WMA and CD/DVD players all wrapped into one. Oh yeah and they have factory sunroofs, HIDs, and towing assist too. In fact if it was a midsized truck we would not be having this conversation because I would be driving it instead. The ecoboost six cylinder is going to put the truck world on its ear if Ford can avoid the inherent design flaws of direct injection.

Well that's what they said but I figured they were just yankin my chain. I was watching something on a certain HBO program that may have lead me closer to the true answer.

Funny, My father in law is still driving his 20 year old Ford and his transmission has never failed him, neither has his motor, or his rear end, or any of the engine accessories. Maybe I should tell him he is driving an inferior product. I love my Yota but I am not such a fan boi that I can't give props where it is due. Hands down Ford makes the best trucks for the money period. Do you know who Rusty Jones is?

Toyota may need to bring him back since they are destroying genI Tacomas due to rust.

Its not superficial it is called current technology and Toyota should have it. Even Nissan has better amenities in their trucks. My gripes are nothing that the Aftermarket can't fix, but when you drop 30K+ on a midsized truck you shouldn't have to spend more money on the things you want that come standard in competitors trucks.

Oh and DI is flawed by design, I already explained it to others in another thread go search it if you want. Basically if you take oil dilution and carbon buildup on your intake valves away, DI is great, but too bad you can't. This is not just a Ford problem, its every car with direct injection.
