So it’s a bit complicated but I bout this product from michaels call mod podge
    https://www.michaels.com/mod-podge-gloss/M10047536.html
I put a little of it in a plastic mixing cup and added food coloring to make a light orange. I brushed it onto a clear plastic cup and after it dried a little I shined a light on it to compare to the dash color. I started light and worked my way darker until it matched almost perfect. I then brushed it onto the clear plastic on the back inside of the knob. There is a thread on the forum about cheap interior mods and I posted pictures on the thread. I’ll see if I can find it and attach a link. I’m absolutely not an artist at all so really anyone can do this. Just be patient.

That is a great idea! I wouldn't worry about the link too much, I can picture exactly what you did. Thanks for the reply.

It actually wasnt my idea as someone on that thread had done the same thing. I’m trying to find it but not luck. Something like Best interior mod or best cheap interior mod. I posted some pictures on it.

I hope you had that picture blown up and put it on a wall somewhere, it’s a classic! The picture you asked me about is my Newfoundland who passed away 5 yrs ago (I can’t let go haha). I had a Lab before I had the Newfi...both great breeds.

I use this as pictured below. This is not a picture from my truck but a stock photo so you can get a feel of what it looks like. You can find almost anything on Amazon or Ebay.s-l640.jpg

these have been mentioned, but thought I’d post the image. May sound silly but those oem knobs are awkward as hell while driving unless you have 10 year old sized hands. These protrude out and just look.... wayyyyy better.
