Does anyone know where I can pickup a receiver door control # 211870-101 from? Any dealers you would recommend or sites? It is for 06 dbl cab. I believe mine went out because none of my key fobs do not work. And I just replaced the batteries. I will add picture to show what I am looking for.

I just bought this on eBay:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/TACOMA-200...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Not yet sure if it is the right thing, but... It seems like some people also refer to this as part # 89741-04010

In fact, I lucked out and saw your post, otherwise I'd have never searched for it as part 211870-101, which is what led me to this $40 on eBay. Then again, still not sure if it is what I need.

If it isn't what I need, I will gladly sell it to you for the same $40 + shipping, though.

It did, actually! Just bought that + 2 cheap fobs from eBay for $16 and configured it using this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qt8iJ8tDD8

Only thing is that my truck doesn't have the "beep" when you lock/unlock, for that you need another part, which I just ordered yesterday: https://toyotaparts.lagrangetoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-warning-buzzer-89747ac010

So pretty much $40 for the module, $29 (shipped) for the beeper, and $16 for 2 fobs; total $85 bucks and not ever having to deal with a dealership. The beeper is also not necessary at all if you want to skip that.

Where is the beep located on the truck?? Is the truck prewired for the beep??

Under the hood, right in between the battery and the headlight in mine (2014 pre runner 4 cylinder), and there’s actually a little plug that is kind of just hanging out right there (they seem to have it tied up onto another cable). I’m 99% positive that’s it, so I do think it is pre-wired.

So far it has been pre-wired for everything I’ve done to it (cruise control, steering wheel controls, door control module (keyless entry], intermittent wipers, and back up camera) with the only exception being the fog lights, which I had to work for, haha. So I’m pretty hopeful that is it based on some pictures I saw here, but can let you know soon.

Will do! Also, I’d double check first that the part is the same. I found another one with a similar item number and it seems to be older, but, that said, looked exactly like what I just bought, so I wonder if it’s just a noise difference. In any case, make sure that’s what you need first, although the door module should be the same.

Hey baldy, I have the Toyota Tacoma Door Control Receiver Module if you need it. It's in working condition off a 2015. I have an 07 tacoma and did a number of upgrades due to not having a lot of the options like like the 2015 model. I was thinking of posting a vid online but haven't had a chance to get around to it.

I too search for the elusive door controller module.

my keyless entry has not worked for a year or so....tried new batts in fobs, nothing. Tried to program new fob, nothing. Only thing left is that the fobs arent comunicating with the truck.

anyone know if one from a different toyota vehicle would work?

I now have located the door look receiver. Remover the glove box door, remove the glove box black trim (one 10 mm bolt at latch assy). The receiver is located above the glove box opening on the back side of the dash.

Several months ago my door lock remote quit working on my 2006 Tacoma TRD Off Road. I attempted to have one of the local fob company's program an new remote to the truck with no positive results.

Couple of weeks ago I was at my local Toyota dealership and had them attempt to program a new Toyota remote to the truck also with no positive results. There thoughts were that the receiver board in the truck is faulty and for which they wanted an astronomical sum.

I found a receiver on Ebay and purchased it. Once received I installed it and attempted to program it follow the the steps pretty much noted everywhere on the internet.

I get through all the programing and the last step is to push the lock and unlock buttons for 1.5 seconds and then push the lock button to complete the programing. what suppose to happen is the locks are suppose to lock and unlock one time indicating the remote was accepted.

What I get is the locks cycle twice indicating the remote is not accepted.

So, this weekend I had an appointment with the Toyota Dealer to complete the rear leaf spring recall. While it was there I had them attempt to program a new remote to the truck using the Toyota computer, also with no positive results.

So, Here is where I'm at. The receiver is seeing the remotes but will not lock the remote code into the system. Pretty sure two different receiver wouldn't have the same exact problem.

So My Question at this point is WTF

I could install an after market alarm system to get the doors to work but really don't want t have to do that unless absolutely necessary.

Are these factory security keyless entry systems just junk? Mine works intermittently both fobs. Drives me nuts. Gonna try to take apart door control unit and check solder connections. Maybe hopefully it’s an easy fix like the compass. And any update with your situation?
