Where can i find HP without super charger

Im looking to gain horsepower with out buying a supercharger just yet. I have a cat back exhaust with an airaid intake. Im putting on a throttle body spacer this weekend. I am relatively new to playing with the engine so i am clueless. Please school me!!!!

SC is really the only thing you can do to see significant power gains.

 

Headers, and a aftermarket y pipe "eliminate the cats" and urd tuner kit

 

Sorry man, Your best bet would be (TCAI) True Cold Air Intake. Get this and the MAP sensor

Look into changing out your muffler go magnaflow or roadrunner. Whatever youre looking for, Loud truck or Fast n Loud truck.

Hate to break it to you but with all the upgrades you can do without a supercharger will probably get you... maybe 20-30 tops...

He already has a true CAI.
Aftermarket intakes don't filter as well.
They provide no power gain.
The stock intake flows more air than any normally aspirated engine can use.

There are 2 ways to get more HP out of a Tacoma... Supercharger, or replace the engine with a bigger one.

Most anything else produces little additional power... barely worth the cost.

 

You couldn't be more wrong...

Check out URD's N/A power kit. It's not cheap, but you can get decent power without a supercharger or a turbo.

Wasn't mentioned yet. For the cost of a whole range of aftermarket bolt ons you'd be spending around $1000 anyways. If you want more power for your buck and you know what you're doing then just buy the parts for a full internal build of the engine. Spend about 1300~ish and then you're already fully set up for boost in the future so you should choose and the lightweight/stronger parts will gain you power from freed up rotating mass.

 

Bore out the cylinders, Add a 7th injector, Bigger cams, give it that bump sound like brum brum brum brum brummmmmmm lol

 

What about on of them photovoltaic spacers or whatever, the one that mounts under the plenum? (I know nothing about them really but I remember a thread about them)
Can you buy ethanol free gas in your area? Probly get a little more power with it
Also have you considered installing flame stickers on the sides???!

I believe you mean the Intake Manifold spacers. Aluminum made. Not "Photovoltaic", thats solar panels.
