I also got the new truck and my old truck from Derek. Good guy. Arranged the tranny check and TSB for me. He had mentioned it to me before I even asked.

When I was searching for my truck, I was also looking at TRD Pro 4R's. Toyota of New Orleans was going to give me 2k off sticker of one which I thought was great just dealing with their internet dept. I decided to go another way, but u should email them. I bet they would make a better deal on a 16 Tacoma than a Pro 4runner.

I am going to contact them as well. I'm hoping for invoice pricing +500 at the most.

Last year bought a 2015 golf for the wife dealership made 300 over invoice, this year bought the taco for myself.

Yesterday gave guidance to my nephew (19) for buying his 2017 Nissan 370Z. Got 2200 off plus 3 year free oil changes. (Vehicle was his choice so... )

My strategy for buying and dealing was grabbed the email addresses of both sales managers for each of the surrounding dealerships, so A team and B team had a chance for the deal at their dealerships. Sent an email to all 16 guys at the same time, so each could see that they were in direct competition with another sales manager at a dealership they maybe 'didn't like'. (To be clear group email with a hello everyone has header)

Best part was each sales manager had no idea how many other guys actually responded with a high or low quote or if they even responded at all. All it took was one guy to break and under cut the rest. (Reverse sealed bid auction)

I didn't email 1 dealership to leave as a control group.

Got best price, took it to control dealership and said here's your chance to meet or beat. Guy there said laughing "really? How did you get it at this price?"

Control dealership was ready to match price with 1 year oil change. Called the actual guy who gave low price at the start. countered offered to them, they threw in the towel and said 3 year oil changes.

Done, total time invested 8 hours. My nephew learned a lot about me yesterday haha.

I know what you mean. I sold a sweet '91 Crystal Blue Ford Ranger because I got tired of the pain pushing the clutch in. Sold it back in '07 and I miss her something awful!

Currently have a purchase in progress in the lowest rung of the True Car bell curve. That is with no trade and includes everything except tax/title.

Of course I can't guarantee the same deal, but they have been great so far, no BS. Good luck!

Bought mine at Grapevine Toyota 4 months ago. Pretty much paid sticker, cause I was upside down on an over mileage lease turn in...no leverage, so screw me.
Was actually looking for a low miles, used, but the salesguy at this dealership told me I was looking for a unicorn. Happened by today, and they have a fleet of used Tacomas on the lot, I counted 14 lined up at the street....WTF?

Pine Hurst Toyota and Scion, North Carolina. Descent prices but best of all they offer a 20 year/200mile powertrain warranty with each new or precertified purchase. Talk to Robby. He is an older guy who has been working there since 95- professional, patient, and will take however much time it takes. I picked mine up for $34,500 without taxes but I did have the military discount.
