I may be getting a new job as a telecom technician. I'll need to buy a utility rack and tool box for my taco. Does anybody have any insight on which would be the best for each product and where I can get it? Thanks for your time.

That all depends on your time frame... I kept looking on craigslist until I found what I needed. How heavy a load do you think you will be putting up there? I put a Harbor Freight rack on the 03 DC that I sold and it didnt look too bad. The tubing was pretty thin but if you are looking to haul an extension ladder or 2 it should do just fine. Be advised that these things make noise. I had a rope wrapped around the front hoop for a bit then I attached a piece of 3/4 EMT to the front to break up the howling, yeah, thats a good description, howling.

Cool! I was wondering if that Harbor Freight rack would work on my taco. Yeah, it's just to throw a couple of ladders on and lug around. Thank you for that information, sir.

on a double cab it fit ok, on a extended cab I would measure to see how much adjustment you will need. The distance between the front hoop and the second bar back is rather far and there is the possibility that you might have the ladder/material hit the roof of the truck... I added a bar inbetween just to be sure. I did not use the pos retainers that came with it... they are in my opinion no good.
