I didnt mount mine, but behind your rear seat on the drivers side of a dc has a space that perfectly fits a fire extinguisher between the seat and the wall

Mounted in the bed not in the cab. I can drop the tail gate and reach it.

I store mine in the driver's side rear seat-bottom cubby, no issues.

Have the same extinguisher. I think I am going to get some heavy duty velcro tape and mount it behind the back set like Diggler showed.

I noticed it said not to store it at 120 degrees or higher. Don't the cabs get higher than that in the summer time?

Also thanks to everyone for sharing your mounting spots!

I did some research at the UL website. To pass they test these things at something like 160-170 for a week. Also note I do not have it in the cab. It’s mounted in the bed under a rollx by the tailgate for access. The best compromise I can come up with.

@TurtleMonkeyTaco it's the Drake Motorsports mount. Quick release and it's pretty beefy. I picked up some nice T-bolt clamps to secure the extinguisher instead of the standard ugly worm gear style.

Edit: just realized you may be along how I mounted it. I used these T-Bolts I bought on Amazon that for the bed rail perfect

I mounted mine on the cab bed rail (oh, I also added the cab bed rail, but that was a couple years ago). I don't keep it mounted in the elements 24/7:

For those of you that keep them inside the cab, does it not effect the fire extinguisher to be left inside the cab when its super hot outside? Inside temps can reach 140

It is perfect for me. There is multiple ways to adjust the bracket, so just play around with it until you find what works best for you.

I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time! Can you put the seat forward over the F/E and bracket or does it limit the forward travel of the seat?

I have one of these mounted behind my head rest in my work truck...
    https://fireextinguisherdepot.com/b...rubber-strap-brackets/amerex-bracket-864.html

I really like the location. And since I like to save a buck I made my own with a piece of PVC sliced down the middle and some hose clamps. If all hell brakes loose you can reach with your right hand and slide it out quickly. Really easy to make/install and costs about $10. The PVC holds the extinguisher very tight, but I put a piece of webbing with a plastic clip around it to help it stay in place in case some fish tails are around the next curve. The way mine is mount the seat travel is limited. However there are several ways to adjust the mount so it does not interfere with the seat.

I'm assuming it's no different than a CO2 tank. The only cases of a rupture I've heard of were in extreme summer temps in the Southwest. That's still very uncommon. YMMV
