Hey everyone! Long time reader first time poster.
Last week my wheel bearing went bad, rumbling the last mile or so home. I jacked it up and it had probably a half inch of play vertically.
I have been calling shops and junk yards in the seattle area for the last week, trying to either find someone who’s willing to press the bearing out and press a new one in, or find a full knuckle assembly to swap over.

I figured someone on these forums would have been through this process before, maybe even in the same area, and could lend some advice. Please and thank you.

Look for an automotive machine shop. Some Napa stores also do work like this.

Sounds like a good excuse to buy a press from harbor freight

Yup- That's the type of shop you're looking for. Most of the time local shops will send their press work out. If you ask nicely, the shops should be able to point you in the right direction.

You may also want to post in the regional forums to get some more localized suggestions or even other members with a press willing to help you.

Consider doing both wheel bearings- the other one probably isn't far behind.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Find a Shop that has done Toyota Front Wheel bearings before. So easy to screw up.

Post in your local forum quite a few from that area.
