    Hello everyone,
I am pretty new to logging in to this site and any help with where to start with parting out my second truck. I have removed 90% of the interior and now engine on the 03' I'm working on. So far iv'e taken 80% of the interior and out most of the dash. I don't know a thing about air bags so those will stay in the truck. Could someone point me in a direction as far as the engine goes?:D I figure since this is my first try on a truck I'ts better to ask others:D

your first step is to file down the VIN numbers so they cant trace the truck back to where you jacked it from...

    :D

did you take the bed out yet? that is gold right there...

:p No I removed the doors, both front panels and front end. I was planning on using the bed for a taier to match my 01' my friends says I'll have to dbl check the front end of the frame due to the impact that bent the pass lower cab area. The pass front door, front panel, grill took the impact. I will take pics soon

My neighbor has weilding equip he said he would help me build a trailer with the rear end its got a few bumps but is 95%. Two small zone that look easy to repair, its the main reason I bought it. But my neighbor said I would have to get rid of the front end and cab before we could start the trailer. I have an HOA so I had to park it in the garage, other wise I would have dismantled it and started on the trailer already.

    No one has any suggestions?
I was thinking about draining the fluids or is that a bad idea? :)

You can send me the driver side seat belt :D

... but draining the fluids would probably be a good idea. I know if you're gonna scrap stuff they want fluids drained...

    Please don't do that...

The word trailer park comes to mind when I see those on the road.

In Terms of parting it out...Make a thread and just have people PM you for parts. I have parted out a car that way. Got rid of just about everything within a few weeks, then had a junkyard come tow the chassis away. I told him he could have it for free.

Dude... Build the trailer! Do it right though. I think they're awesome personally. I have a '71 Chevy K10 with the rear end of the '72 longbed parts truck as my trailer, same paintjob and all :) Classy...

Thank you all for the suggestions I've seen one trailer it looked pretty good. The color is a very light grey and my truck is light brown. I have access to picking up items alot and I don't want to damage my truck. I help friends with moving things and a rottotiller alot. I looked into a trailer and for the price of the entire truck.

Ok, I am not sure from your posts.. But what are the details on the truck your parting out?

If your parts truck has a running engine, personally I would leave it in tack. It will help sell if the buyer can hear it run. being an individual, and not being able to extend a warranty on it, it would help to hear it run.

As far as the interior parts. I may be interested in some of them, depending on color and if its standard cab xtra cab, double cab.

The truck is an 03' 4x4 manual extended cab light silver with grey interior. The lower passangers cab and right front fender were damaged. I have removed and tagged all hardware in the interior fittings and bolts. Some items include front and rear seat belts; beverage rack, console, rear mini seats, btohe r/l rear panals both interior doos all equipment (not power), all door rubber seals, both rear windows, back window, front lower foot panels, roof carpet, (haven't been able to remove upper dash, not sure if I'll try and the air bags they didn't deploy side impact.) :) I don't know much about engine stuff I will be contacting my cousin who owns a shop to ask him what the engine stuff is  But I think I will take the advice earlier in the thread and make a part out posting I will let the info post on this thread a day before.:D Doess this info help?

Sorry no floor mats; lower carpet, right front fender, right door exterior kinda crunched,

Also have both front doors (damage on both minor Drivers side) w/ glass, hood, left front fender, some type of k/n air filter w/ spaceron manifold (I think someone called it a cai?) :)
