Where do you buy tires?

Discount/America’s Tire... They match any price even interwebs.

 

I had KO2’s and honestly like my goodyear duratracs a hell of alot better you might want to look into them as well.

 

I'm picky about ride quality on asphalt. Heres what I've learned.


I found that one of their "higher quality tires" Cooper, tend to have issues.
On my 3rd det I finally gave in to the BS at Discount tire...and had the wheels checked...to make sure they were true.
THEY WERE!
The guy at the wheel shop did the whole thing right in front of me telling me the whole time I wasnt the first or last guy to come in with Cooper tires thinking I had wheel issues.
He was able to adjust the speeds and weights and point out that no amount of balancing or weight placement will fix the factory bulge in the tire which was minimal but causing the sensation of a bad wheel.

He explained that getting 4 without blemish CAN happen....if I go thru several sets until I get the right four.
He then explained the same about BF tires.

You can call and ask him,hes a grumpy asshole, but knows his shit.

I understand this is a wheel shop...but this guy sees all the faulty tires that make his job a pain in the ass.

It's also a great place to get wheels and or color and machine work done.

 

+1 for Discount Tire. Bought 2 sets from them a couple of weeks ago. We’re in Atlanta this week visiting our daughter and she needed new tires on her Lexus SUV. Found the lowest price, found the nearest Discount Tire and had her worn out Michelin’s replaced with a set of Yokohamas...a better wearing tire in my experience.

As already stated, they match prices, repair flats and lifetime balance for free. They also take trade-ins on low mileage tires. They gave me $75/tire on the crappy 245/75r16 Firestone’s that came with my truck. They don’t even sell Firestone tires.

 

Discount Direct when the tires i want are on sale.

Totally agree. I've bought both wheels and tires from Discount Tire. I go online every 5k miles and make an appointment to have the tires rotated and rebalanced. In and out in 20 minutes.

Once when I was waiting on my truck and older man started telling me that he was having a vibration from one of his front tires that he had bought there some time ago. He was very concerned because he and his wife were going on a long road trip to visit relatives and didn't want to breakdown. The manager came out and told him that they couldn't get the tire to balance properly so they were going to replace both front tires at no charge. They wanted him to have the same amount of wear on his front tires was the reason they said they were going to replace both for him. Hard to beat IMO.

 

Thank you all for the shout out to Discount Tire and Discount Tire Direct. I may be biased but that's where I go to buy all my tires and wheels.
