I don't wanna hijack the thread. Just a few and now I have tons of ideas flowing through my head haha. Hopefully I don't do anything regrettable on the interwebs.

4XInnovations makes mine, though they are out of stock and have a waiting list. Super happy with it.

I tried keeping mine in the bed but being a short bed it took up too much room so I put back underneath

If I remember correctly your truck was in tacomaholic’s YouTube channel for a walk around, that’s a cool set up.

Back to the spare tire, just finished a swing out tailgate. I updated the tire mount thread. It resembles the Wilco design.

My nighbor has one of these on his Subaru. They're super nice! It seems very solidly built and easy to use. It's a nice simple design.

I have an aux fuel tank where the spare used to go. Nowadays it's bolted to the top of my sleeping platform under my camper shell and in front of my fridge on it's slide.

This has some draw backs...it takes up a ton of space back there. It's always in the way. If I get a flat I have to remove the frigde which is 45 pounds empty and usually full of steaks and beer. It'll be a giant pain in the ass when I get a flat.

My plan is to build a flat bed camper and mount it on the back of the camper.

Yeah, @boogie3478 covered it a little while ago. Interesting set up you have! The open tailgate / swing out on your truck looks awesome. Did you keep that swing out toolbox? Didn't see it in the last pic.

Interesting, thought you were going to keep it open. Interested to see that tailgate with a skin on it. Subbed your build thread - that's a pretty cool idea.

I like the feel of the open gate, but I still need to use the bed. The original idea was to repurposed the stock tailgate but I don’t think it will work well with the design. So currently working through some ideas. Still have to add a jerry can carrier so it’s a work in progress

Yeppers, Im on that list and will pull that trigger if Adam ever considers making them again for the 1st gen. If not I’ll probably go with CBI’s 1.0

Op, if you like this style and we find others that do too perhaps Adam from 4xinnovations would consider making them again?

Maybe you can talk Adam into putting together a first gen group buy on it. I'm sure he'd go for it if enough people signed up to get it.

I was thinking that very same thing. I’m $4k away from being totally debt free and it’s all cash buys from here on out. I was thinking about calling him after all my debt is paid and I have cash in hand though if I saw him posting a group buy on here I’d use a C.C. In a heartbeat

I built a drawer system to house my 33. Worked really well until I got a swingout. Your tire may be too wide though. Mine is a 255.

I’ve been listening to Dave Ramsey for the past couple of years. The snowball effect worked wonders for me. As soon as I’m done, I’m never going back to credit cards again. The hardest part is seeing sales on things that I’ve been eyeing for awhile now or hard to find items for my truck. Two more paychecks and I’m done!
    :yay:
