I'll try to grab a wide spot, next to nice vehicles that aren't rentals. But I'll take what I can get.

Hopefully I can afford side steps/nerf bars to deflect a few doors before I get any serious dings.

Do you pull or back in? Cause I always back in, and I've gotten a few other people to start doing it too. It's the only way to park. Super accurate, easy on the turning radius and it looks badass.

I'll park where ever the spot allows me. The only difference is that I will try to find pull through parking or I always back it in. There are too many idiots that don't know how to back up in a car/truck. Gets me frusterated. So now, as they're trying to back... all I do is drive forward and leave them behind.

I'll admit... if there's a Cadillac with huge doors in the spot next to where I would park then I'm moving right along. LOL.

I pull in. If you do get clipped, it's likely to be on whatever's sticking out. Rear end has less vital components in close proximity than the engine bay.

This time of year I tend to look for a spot in the shade no matter where that spot is located. The extra walk is worth the cool cab.

Parking anywhere.... I park far away from other vehicles and I usually grab 'pull through' spots. I stay within the parking spots.

It seems everytime I come back to my truck, there's a car RIGHT BESIDE me.

Usually I aim for next to one of the concrete islands in the parking lot, where you're only exposed on one side.... and/or next to/in between cars (not SUVs or other taller vehicles) so if their doors can reach the side of the truck, they hit the running boards.

not to many, love it the way it is
found a ding on the truck yesterday. must have been from an suv or another truck because a car would have hit the side bars. I'll start being more careful now an watch where I park it

When I shop in Kansas I park in Oklahoma. When I shop in Oklahoma I park in Texas. Probably excessive but, oh, I just thought of something...

I try to park next to a pole, island, wall, etc. when possible. If not, I'll park in a spot w/ a few empties around it, but usually not all the way in the back.

I never park sideways b/c, though I'm too grown-up to do it, I often have thoughts of dinging cars that do that just out of spite. (Again... I don't do it... but if I have the thought, some ass-bag teenager might have the same thought and actually act on it.)

At work I park in a deck. I always park on the left-hand side of the ramp that's going down. Most people in the deck drive alone, so the driver's side door is usually the only one used. If I park on the left, the person who parks on my passenger side opens his/her door against gravity and it's not likely to swing open and bang my truck. The car to my right isn't likely to have anybody in the passenger seat, so they won't be opening the door anyway.

If I park on the right-hand side of the down-ramp, the guy who parks on my passenger side will be opening the driver's door and gravity could easily swing the door open and bang into mine.

I back in and park far away, the reason i back in is because if someone wants to not pay attention they are gonna get a 2 inch ball thru their radiator. also my side steps help aid me from getting door dings and its really funny when i see people open their door on my truck because i dont get a dent, they do! there are only 2 reasons why i like those side steps, one because it protects the truck from door dings and two the ladies like it when they are getting in and out of my truck. That there is enough of a plus for me!!!

I also like to walk, i enjoy the exercise. I cannot stand when peoplewait on a close parking spot. maybe that is why we have a problem with obese people in this world...
