    Truck: 2008 Tacoma SR5 AccessCab (4cyc auto).

    I have the following

TomTom, Sirius Radio Unit, Radar detector. I got a 4 outlet plug for the 12v and tried to shove everything in the little compartment there, but it looks horrible. I know I'm not the only one with all this stuff in their truck, so where are you guys putting your things? Where do you mount your radar detectors, GPS, Radios?

    Thanks,

I'll see if I can get some pics this afternoon.

I have a tom tom, and that is on the left corner of the drivers side. You can't see it unless you are in the truck. I have XM radio to, and I ran the wire under the dash and it comes out and sits by the three heat/AC dials above the cup holders. I don't have a radar detector.

I will take some pics and post it for ya if you want.

i have a sirius radio radar detector and gps all powered and hidden. my gps and radar detector are in the bottom center of the windsheild and the sirius radio is hanging overhead. i custom made a bracket for mounting the satellite radio to the overhead console and im powering all of it off of the switched power and ground from my stereo. i bought a 12v plug and wired it in and put a 3 way splitter into that and made sure it wouldnt seperate. plugged all 3 devices into that splitter and tucked it behind my guages. the power for the radar and gps is running through the vents that blow on the windsheild. but i did have to make a hole to get the ends and wires into that vent. as for the satellite radio all wires are ran along the top of the headliner and down the support colum into the back of the dash. ill try to post pics.

My Sirius is in the storage area under radio in front of cup holder (antenna is on top of my ARB). My Tom Tom is usually low on windshield above left side of center console.

Looking at his profile he has the Kenwood DDX-512 which doesn't include built in GPS but you can buy the add-on module to add GPS to the unit.

A friend of mine is a police officer in the auto crime unit. He warned me about having a GPS unit mounted to the windshield (via suction cup) that the device can be stolen very quickly, literally seconds, and it doesn't matter if the vehicle had an alarm as the GPS can be removed SO FAST.
He also said that the suction cup leaves a ring on the windshield and vehicles were broken into while the GPS units were hidden in the console or glove box.

Radar detector stays up all the time, most of the time I'm parked in my garage or on base, but I routed the cord down behind the dash to keep the cord out of the way and keep it looking clean.

I'd like 2 C more Pics, more ideas. My Scangauge2 is on the steering column same as a lot of other people. My PA15-TOY is in the glove box, inverter and GPS is just on the passenger side floor or sometimes in the compartment between the seats. I guess I should put the inverter in the space under the radio. Maybe I'll be inspired by others ideas, hope so.

I've just got a TomTom 1 and it's in the lower left (driver's side) of the windshield...just above the dash.

That's a pretty neat idea to use the hinge. Did you add any clearance to the center console door for the bundle of wires when the door is closed?
