Where do you store your Ball Mount for the receiver???

I keep mine in the rear compartments behind the back passenger side seat. It was sliding back and fourth when I would turn. So, I put down a nonslip padding that people use in their drawers of the tool boxes and it stopped sliding....

 

I keep my hitch on full time. It keep's the tail gating Honda's away.

Mine is in the compartment under the left rear seat. Wrapped in a couple hand towels (no rattle)

 

Mine is on the time, we tow too much.

 

I'm thinking about keeping it in all the time to free up some space behind my rear seats... but when I put it in, it doesn't fit snugly, so any little bump makes a god-awful banging sound. I guess I could wrap it in duct tape to make it fit a little better... just haven't done that yet.

 

Wood shim, I suppose duct tape would work also. Someone on here mentioned that and it's actually a great idea!

For those of you who leave them in all the time, I'd use some never sieze. The ball mount can rust to the receiver over time and then it's a real PITA to separate them.

I secure mine down with a velcro strap under drivers side rear seat storage. Looks like it was meant to be there.

I didn't know this was illegal in pa either. I've had mine in for over a year and never go pulled over. Hmmm good to know I guess.

 

I doubt you'd see very many pics that like in many kids movies. I also don't want to have to explain to my boss or the IT folks why I'm cruising a site that has photos like that.

Just like some of the other people. I keep mine if the rear passenger seat compartment in my double cab and the plug-in adapter in my glove box.

 

I usually leave it in, it's recently illegal in NY but if someone rear ends me it will help keep some damage off my truck, expecially because it's winter and everything is slippery.

If it's not in, it's in the bed storage, it rattles a little bit but it doesn't really bother me

 

I keep mine in, in case someone decides to bump me in the back they will get the worst end of the deal. Have you tried to remember its back there and walk around it?

 

I have an access cab and I keep mine in the storage compartment under the under the rear flip seat behind the driver.

 

At home till I know I am going to use it.

 

put a lock on it and no one can steal it. i found i only ran into the hitch ball once, now i know its there.
