That's the second time in a week I've seen pictures of this car. Friend on another forum posted it on Facebook recently.

Big man on the internet. You should ask questions first or take your rants to private message if you want to flex your internet muscles and cuss somebody.

I normally respect firefighters. It was what i was doing before joining the military, but in your case i have ZERO respect. You dont know what your talking about, yet you talk tough and even cuss me? Big man. I guess you NEVER have a single beer at a restaurant when you have to drive, you prolly never have a beer or 2 fishing. Right? Yea OK.

First i dont drive drunk or drink and drive. 2nd i live in the woods and never hit pavement when off roading, and 3rd GET OVER YOURSELF.

I had a beer or 2 and played some darts at home with a buddy after a long day, then around midnight we went to the sand pits about a mile from my home ON DIRT roads, never exceeding 35mph, and hit a few hills, then went back home and had SEVERAL beers, maybe a shot or 2 also, and played some more darts until the sun came up and THEN we were DRUNK.

I could of been pulled over while driving and had no issues. I did nothing illegal.

Honestly, that was nothing compared to the section before called the steps. I have a video clip that does it zero justice. I twas one of the scariest sections of off road driving I have ever done, and I have been almost everywhere in mainstream Moab. When I get the other pictures from the other people that were there I will post them and hopefully it shows a better angle and view.

I'm in Aledo looking to check out BP OHV. I have an OR stock with sliders. You think it's worth the drive? If so is there a taco meet?

I haven't seen any accounts of stock 3rd gens going down BBP. Congrats.

Planning a trip to the SJ Mtns later this month; a few questions:
    • Stock tires?
    • Did you air-down?
    • We're you using crawl control on the steps/descent?
    • Any damage?
    • Any recommendations for mods? I'm thinking about AT tires and sliders.

Damn, that's impressive! I've done Cinnamon and Engineer by Rzr, Jeep, and motorcycle, but I'm scared of Black Bear. Well done, sir! Looking to get a TRD OR or TRD Pro 4Runner. You've inspired me

    1) Stock tires
    2) Yes, to about 20 psi
    3) No crawl control in the manuals. A-trac was not engaged nor the rear locker.
    4) Yes, very slight damage but due to me not paying attention. A scratch on the passenger side front door and a bash to the pinch weld below the front passenger door. I will get some pics when I get her washed ahaha :)
    5) SLIDERS all the way. If I had them, I most likely would have avoided all damage. Bigger tires would have bee nice as well.

We did Engineer pass as well and were going to do Imogene but ran out of time. Thanks. This truck is impressive. I think the pro packages are so over hyped and SO over priced. The only real advantage wit the pro is the suspension and you can do it yourself for a fraction of the price Toyota tacks on. Do yourself a favor and pass on the Pro and get the off road package instead.

Black bear is only dangerous do the cliff edge. Not much complicated about it otherwise. Sliders are not needed. The only crawl control you need is 4 Low and the brake pedal. I would suggest airing down and an all terrain tire though. My wife said when we stopped at an overlook of bridal veil falls, after the 3rd or so switchback, and said when does the difficult part start?
