Where Have You Off-Roaded Today? 3rd Gen

Snowed it up, 4hi and 5th gear on the HWY cruising at 50 kph... Easy breezy. Saw way too many cars in the ditch today though. It's sad when people run bald all seasons and when it snows they still dare drive through it.... Darwin at it's best.

 

Hit Otay Truck Trail with a few guys in San Diego. It was a fun day with a cool group!

I think I saw the trail end of your caravan when I hit the trail this afternoon. It was a good day.

 

ah yeah, the west coast drivers, no clue how to drive when they get a bit of snow on the ground. Nanaimo is the same way, mind you most places are at the start of winter. Glad you got to use your 4wd system in the truck!! What fog lights, sorry driving lights are you using?Or did you just change out the low beams on the truck to an LED and leave the driving lights stock halogen?

PIAA H11 2500k Yellow bulbs for the fogs
and the OEM day time running lights untouched

 

How are you finding the opt7 leds in a housing not designed for led lights? I know when I did this on my moto the amt of scatter was almost as dangerous as me having a bad light as I blinded everyone else.

I'm looking at amber Baja designs for the driving/fog combo. Just depends on a few things I'm trying to work out with my needs and whether or not to sink 3-4K more into the truck right after Xmas or do it over the next year and have to dismantle the damn front end multiple times and costing me either more time to do it myself or more money to have another do it. Depends on the work schedule for the winter. It's looking rather heavy.

A friend and I took our stock toys up to find some snow. Pretty easy trail, bit still had some fun.

Just a little bit of off roading outside of Flagstaff. Told the kids to watch out for dear and here is a pic of a couple young ones. 1 buck and doe. Ended up seeing about 20 more from a distance.

 

As much as I dislike this truck. It does one thing perfectly. Snow and ice.

 

The picture is too dark to see, but the front cam tv on the Hondo No Drill mount worked well. Thanks Hondo Garage.

If the sun didnt wash out the rear view mirror it would have been the ocean as we left a perfect day at Kaena.

Did some prairie fields.
Whiteout snow conditions, bare snow covered fields and traction control OFF.

 

Need to get a group and go back there, was a cool place but we got kinda turned around.

Love the way it looks but wonder if the noise is bearable on the freeway.
