I think bearable depends on your definition.
If you want a rack that is well built, one of a kind, real versatile and meant to look god hauling a ton of shit and you don't mind "some" noise it's not bad at all. If you are the type that can't stand any bit of noise then maybe move on.. Where I live we get 90+kmh winds coming from the west, the way we drive towards the mountains and its pretty quiet but you definitely know its there.
We bought it with the intention to use it for big items knowing it would make noise and were ok with it.

Pretend like your cruising at HWY speed with your sunroof open a bit. Others may have different experiences too.
    No regrets tho.

Great pics. The rig looks sweet in those snowy conditions. Where on the plains were you?

I'm looking for a roof rack that would be good for kayaks, snowboards, and camping gear. Do you think that rack would do good with those items? What items do you use it for?

I'm thinking I rather spend on the high quality prinsu rack then the cheap plastic OEM ones...

Those are the items I intend to use it for. Plus long lumber and building supplies. Pricey but worth it.
    Mainly Kayaks, and snowboards!
Any hardware will mount to it, like thule etc.
My one and only complaint would be there are no holes drilled on the crossbars to insert your t-bolts without removing them and sliding them in.
A couple members on here have modified theirs by drilling holes to drop them in which I plan to do as well.
Since you have a third gen be sure to ask for the single wide cross bar to fit the back position above the shark fin!

Went shooting targets and ended up in some pretty bad snow. It snowed more then a week ago, melted, and then refroze. Pretty nasty stuff but it was a good use of a locker that helped up the bad hill.IMG_1453.jpg

Most of that video is just the trail coming out of our campsite. The main trail loops around the whole lake, I wish I got more footage of that trail but I forgot to bring the camera. It took us 5.5 hours. I'll try making a better video in the spring once the snow melts. It's called the ardbeg black lake loop if you wanna see more videos of it.

Driving in a few inches of snow on-top of soft sand is no joke, behaves much like a silty/clay mud. I ended up using poor-mans crawl control (clutch start cancel) twice to get going from a stop.
