Where Have You Off-Roaded Today? 3rd Gen

Thanks! I am excited to explore the surrounding area. I did part of Skyline Drive this week. What local areas do you like?

 

Been following on IG, that trip looked killer! Holy shit @ all those bugs(?) in your grill in that first pic! Haha

 

My brother in law showed me a new place to play yesterday. About 5 miles from my house...


This place is bigger but harder to access in trucks. Also about 5 miles away..


This is the closest... But Also the smallest.. Less than 1 mile away from my house...


The last one you can drive in 2wd if you avoid one spot... The other 2 places you need 4WD.

 

Weekend trip to North Padre.
Drove 18 miles down the island in the National Park to get away from the humans.
Checked out our newly constructed beach front property.... ; )

Skyline drive is cool. Used to do a lot of deer hunting around that area back in my youth. Don't do that anymore.

If you're talking off-road, then I'm afraid I won't be a lot of help at this point. I've only had my Taco since January and have only been to Moab and Canyonlands with it. Both those destinations are spectacular both for off-roading and scenery, but you already knew that. Used to do a lot as a kid (moto-x and hunting), but don't remember how to get to the places we went back then. I'm going to Five Mile Pass tomorrow with a guy from work, so well see what that's like. I'm told it's got some cool places. I'm going to do American Fork Canyon hopefully in the next couple weeks. Unfortunately, don't remember the specific name of the trail were going to do. The same guy I'm going with tomorrow claims it's good place to off-road. He drives a Razor, however. I'm not a Razor fan. I've had a few other people tell me that American Fork Canyon has great places to off-road.

I've not done the Alpine Scenic loop yet, but I'm told that's cool as well, and especially in the fall. The good news is that are lots of places to go in the state of Utah. Most of them are relatively close. Both with great scenery and technical off-roading as well. If you've combed this thread, then you will see some good places to go in this state as well. I'm thinking of going out by Great Salt Lake (towards Wendover) and checking that out.

I'll post pics on here when I go someplace. You do the same.

 

I Googled Black Bear Pass. Damn! It looks pretty intense, and not for the faint of heart.

 

Fantastic Brown, looks like Bridgeport reservoir. The ES is my favorite place to play.

 

Broken Arrow, Sedona AZ. Got to mess around in the mud a bit today and played with the MTS and crawl control for the first time!

 

Went to Five Mile Pass yesterday and did a trail called Rattlesnake. Not the most beautiful scenery, but overall a good trail to beat the truck on. Went with a '77 Bronco and two Razors. Have a cool video, but not sure how to post it.

 

In Utah, took this yeaterday. Currently at Arches.

Some light offroading off of the Alpine Loop in Utah County with my bro.

 

From a while back, first ever night run for me. Group was a combination of Tacos, 4runners, tundra, Lexus and Raptors. Good times

 

I didn't get any pictures but i did pull out a friend in a 500 dollar Explorer.
