Pretty sure that's the older version of Gaia GPS. There's a new and improved version available in the app store. Works great!

Check out this thread. I posted a bunch of .gpx files a while back for that whole area.

As stated, it is GAIA app. I just started using it. Make sure you download the maps before going out. It run off cell service unless you download them before moving out.

Thanks man, I'll check it out.

Thanks man, take the fun away of exploring on my own! Haha I'll just tell the wife I went out and all over and found them just for her. I down loaded the GA Traverse aswell. Already paid off

The GA traverse has a bunch of closed trails on it as of May 2017 and what's not closed can be done in a Minivan. You're going to want to hit Flatland Rd in Suches and the Chimney Mountain side of Tray Mtn. Also check out Sheep Wallow Rd near Dahlonega.

It's also my daily driver/family car, so I don't want to take the mileage hit from a lift. I actually went over a large rock, and I thought dented the oil pan. I didn't realize the stock TRD OR had such a sturdy plate protecting the pan. For the what I want to do( 4x4 parks, desert running and light trails), I was wondering if the stock setup is good enough?

Didn't get to do much off-roading but took the family on a road trip from Tulsa to OKC ,Amarillo , Albuquerque , the Grand Canyon , Hoover dam , Las Vegas , up through Utah by Moab, down the Johnson Tunnel , to Denver , down to Colorado Springs up by pikes peak , then across I-70 to Salina and home through Wichita.

Didn't get to off-road much but I snagged a few pictures of the truck along the way . IMG_1484.jpg IMG_1327.jpg IMG_1333.jpg

That's good to know about the traverse. Thanks. Chimney mountain side is fun if you like bouncing over exposed rock. I have a bit more of tray to explor and sheeps wallow is fun. Only have done it in the damn mud and that will be the last time I take it through that amount of mud. I do would like to go back in the dry and play with more of the technical stuff. Looked like lots of good camping there for the weekend aswell.

Check out Winding Stair Gap Rd and FSR58 (Three Forks). Great camp8ng there. Also have Hawk Mountain Rd up there which has a pretty technical climb at the end.

I have a 2017 stock Off Road and have had lots of fun rough places and no scrapes or dents at this time. The biggest problem I've found are bushes and trees. I just don't want to scratch up the truck when it's so new. I just plan to see how far I can go and use common sense to get me there.

I think our trucks are very capable. Enjoy it!

For that booster I just used the seat belt. When i have the baby in the middle spot, i'll use the Latch on the other 2 sides.

Finally edited and uploaded my Cleghorn trip with the boys. The TRD Pro 4Runner was nice especially since it's my cousin in quicksand.

If you only need 1 seat in the back, just use the inboard LATCH hoops from the passenger and driver side. That's my current setup for my son's rear-facing seat...

This is pretty far off road. Le Conte glacier on mainland SE Alaska, across Frederick Sound from Kupreanof Island, about 90 minutes by my friend's jet boat from Petersburg. Tacoma could have gotten to within 60 miles or so. After that it's swim or climb mountains and talk to the brown bear, which are populous. Face of the glacier is about a mile across and 200 feet tall and it goes down over a thousand feet.

I worked for the Forest Service out of Wrangle for a summer. Hoped a boat ride to Petersburg for a weekend once when I was there. That's a great area, but not to many roads to run around on. I ended up flying out of Wrangle four days after 9/11. We puddled jumped from Wrangle to Petersburg in a 737 for a layover before we headed to Juneau and then Seattle. I think it was something like a ten or fifteen minuet flight and I don't think we got more than a few thousand feet of the ground.
