There were shell casings EVERYWHERE...pretty sad! We always make a point of picking up our mess and we try and pick up some excess other have left around us as well. We took a full trash bag back out of there with us. Thankfully though the pumpkins we shot up though are biodegradable

That is amazing. I love exploring remote roads within this vast country of ours.

I take it you drove to James Bay via Chisasibi?

Do you know if there's actually a road where you can drive into the borders of Nunavut? I've driven in every province and territory other than Nunavut so I thought it'd be awesome if I could claim to have driven there from the mainland. (Otherwise, it looks the Trans Taiga road comes to within a kilometer of the Nunavut border so I guess I could hike it.)

Off-Roaded on the lake today. The Tacoma is an excellent ice fishing truck handles the frozen drifts like nothing. Bombing across the lake at 40mph was pretty comfortable. I’ve seen plenty of Chevys Dodges and Fords tear up their suspensions on this stuff. The Tacoma is light weight has plenty of ground clearance and is just tough, and actually built for off road use.

How does that even happen? Doesn't look like they rolled off a hill... did they roll after cornering too hard?

They were not as bad as the ones closer to the racetrack.

Those are the ones I had in mind. Took my brand new '08 .:R32 out to the Racetrack on it's first road trip. Not a good idea. (Still have the .:R though.)

    how's that .:R doing?

my last ride was a mkV R32, #1073.. i was all over vwvortex. had that car since new, and it totalled at 136k unfortunately. really loved that thing. drove the wheels off her.

but the Taco is 100x more fun all day every day! (MT y'know)

Ah, rad! Except for the whole totaled thing. Ouch! My .:R is a MkV as well (obviously, since it's an '08), #2425. I remember watching it come off the boat in Long Beach from Germany just over 10 years ago (Dec. of 2007). Just flipped over the 50k mile marker and still running well. It's definitely a good contrast to the Taco, that's for sure! I haven't been on vwvortex for a while... I spend all my time on this damn forum now.

    Yep…
    Vehicle:
Rock Bangen', Desert Tamin', Gold Findin' Machine!
I suspect excessive speed , a high center of gravity, driver experience, and bad luck were contributing factors.
