    Too many to count.
Took Timmy and the family up to Tahoe for some fun in the snow. It was his first time in the snow. Went to Stateline, Echo Summit, and Adventure Mountain. Did not get to do much wheeling though. Timmy was not happy about the road salt/sand, but the rain coming down cleaned him up nicely.

Best mileage I have ever had coming down from the summit. (Wife took the photo for me since I was driving).

Drove from Nashville, TN to Colorado on Friday, and spent the whole day exploring today. Went to the top of Pike's Peak, went to St. Elmo, got stuck in the snow trying to climb up Tincup Pass, and then played on some trails that branch off of Gold Camp Road near Manitou and Colorado Springs.
Other than trying to climb in 2 foot deep snow and having to back back down the Tincup Trail, the truck went literally everywhere I've pointed it, even having driven over 2,000 miles in the last 48 hours, and I have to drive 1500 miles back to Nashville in the morning.
The roughest trails of all were the rock trails around Manitou, I would have been nervous climbing these rocks in my hilux on 35's with lockers and a v8, but the stock-ass base model Tacoma did great!20180324_135612.jpg 20180324_143819.jpg 20180324_104719.jpg

Spent Spring Break Backpacking the Grand Canyon. Then came back up to the rim, got snowed on, and spent some time in the Kaibab National Forest. There are some great roads out there if you want to speed-test your suspension! Then went up to Monument Valley on the way out

Exploring just a small bit of the many FS roads off US2 near Leavenworth, WA, in Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. We started off on Chumstick Highway, and turned onto Merry Creek Rd which turns into NF-7800.

Somewhere along NF-7800 I had a chance to use my new Maxtrax for the first time, after I lost momentum up a snowy/icy grade and in backing up to try again slipped the passenger tires into the ditch beside the road. The Maxtrax worked exactly as advertised and got us moving with minimal effort. I had to walk back down about 100 yards to get them because I didn't want to lose momentum and kept going til I found a spot that leveled-off a bit before stopping. Picture is at a weird angle because my girlfriend did not want to get out of the truck because she was cold.
    20180324_133015.jpg

She did apparently get out of the truck anyway while waiting for me to walk back to get the Maxtrax, and took this one.
    20180324_133234.jpg

Later, on NF-7500 iirc, the snow started getting a lot deeper. The stock tires at 20/19psi, combined with A-trac really impressed me with how well it kept forward momentum through the deep stuff. At several points I ended up dropping the passenger wheels into the roadside ditch again because the snow made it impossible to know where it was. Each time I was able to back up and get back onto the road into my previous tracks, one point required a bit of shovel work to get past. The third time this happened, the snow was almost to the bottom of the passenger window when we slid off, and only appeared to be deepening further up the road. Combine this with an increase in grade, I decided to throw in the towel and back down to a turnaround point. These two pics are the furthest we made it.

    20180324_143804.jpg

After that it was back down NF-7500 which turns to pavement when it becomes Eagle Creek Rd, and eventually rejoins Chumstick Highway just a couple miles from where we turned off, Then headed down to Leavenworth for some food and drink. It was a fun detour to add to an already enjoyable driveabout.

Sick spot. I used that same cactus you had by your tent for fire wood once when I was camping at the light house and they were full of little brown scorpions. Not cool!

So I noticed your from Moab. Myself and a group of toyota enthusiast are heading that way at the end of April the 22-26th to be exact. Would you be interested in playing tour guide at all? Or could you share some home secrets? Would love any help or pointers you've got. Thanks a lot!

My GF and I went camping and mountain biking for two days along the central coast of California. Ended the drive south at Pismo Beach and Oceano State vehicle beach where you can drive out onto the beach and dunes. Truck did great on sand. I have a Diamondback cover with Voodoo bed rails and put fork mounts on the sides with my RTT in the middle. Bikes were solid banging around on the dunes. Fun middle of the week!
