Drove a combined route of the 'Hampster Ride' and Trans NH trails this past weekend. Nothing challenging as it was a solo trip, but covered a lot of the state and had some beautiful weather on Sunday crossing the Kancamagus highway.

Hit Big Sur this weekend

 

Went to Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area in PA on a guided ride. I had fun on these trails, but the guided ride I payed for took me down some trails that were really to small for what I wanted to do. I put a new body line in my bed, but I guess I've just got to get used to it if I want to keep off roading.

Yeah seriously! When we were ready to pull the trigger on it there was only one within a few hundred mile radius. It sold before we moved on it then we got incredibly lucky and another dealership just down the road got one.

 

My son and I are on a road trip from the San Francisco Bay Area up to Whistler BC to hit Whistler village and the mountain bike park there. Maybe the first time gravity will agree with me after taking a lift to the top





First stop Castle Lake near Mt Shasta, found a great dispersed camping spot that the Accords and Sprinter vans couldn’t get to

Camping near Astoria OR, not exactly off road but we hit Jones Beach OHV on the Columbia River. Didn’t get any photos but fun sand runs off the river with kite surfers

This is day 3 so far and just finished my truck bed drawer build which I made a separate thread. Pretty damn proud of the build and how EASY it makes camping

Hit up Gold Mt. in Big Bear.

 

Spent this past Fri-Mon at Laurel Lakes. About 90% of the way through the trail, there was a little over 4' of snow that we couldn't get through. Loaded up the packs, and got down to the lakes on foot to camp.

 

Not technically off - roading, but still... While on camping trip in Pine Barrens (or so we were told) I've decided to explore some forest roads. Nothing technical, just a fun little ride


We came across a downed tree... I figured that instead of turning around, let's go through it!

I finally had a chance to properly use my Fiskars axe to clear some of the brunches.




PS. I don't have a chainsaw nor a winch (yet), so that was a best/quickest way to get through. I guess forest service will take care of it properly, sooner or later.
