Sorry to bring this post back, but I am heading up for the first time with my lady next weekend. Any tips? looking for a spot off of a fire road to set up camp, sleeping in the back of the truck in the shell and heard the best places to do that is to drive up roads like plaskett ridge, nacimiento, etc.. Any advice or tips would be helpful :) thank you!

I went up to Lake Tahoe CA this weekend to ride, camp, and hit Twin Peaks trail on the way home. Short but fun, made some lunch up on top!

    Rode out to Baldwin Beach

I don’t know the story behind this truck which hit a tree and was impaled by a tree, but someone had a BAD DAY

Those are all good roads. I camped on Plaskett ridge and didn’t have a problem finding a good spot at dusk. Also camped on Los Burros, big fan of Los Burros. If you hit the four way stop and go west to the dead end you’ll hit some awesome sites

Finally took my truck up the mountain. Nothing crazy just some forest service roads around 8k. I cant believe how much smoother this truck is on those roads compared to my leveled '15 GMC z71. I could easily do 5-10mph faster than I'd normally do.

Where all did you go? I plan on heading up to Siloam Springs later this month and want to do some trails or forest service roads while I’m up that way.
