Agreed on common sense wheeling alone. I have plenty of friends willing to head out, so I don't have that issue. Like you said though, alone or not, taking on that incline was foolish.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Looks like fun, but oh man I did that a few weeks ago. Waiting for the roads to dry up before heading out again. Had to pressure wash the undercarriage 4 times in my driveway before the truck would stop hammering from the wheels and driveshaft out of balance. Not looking forward to that effort anytime soon. Worried my drainage around my house is going to plugged up now as the stuff took just as long to hose off the driveway each day, as it did from the bottom of the truck. Yes, I washed it first at a commercial pressure wash station, but then had to do it another 4 times with my pressure washer at my house. Dries to almost concrete. Only time I like those roads, is if there is a fishing lake at the end of the road and no one else there.

Man SAME. I've never hated mud as much as I do now. It's forever caked into the nooks and crannies beneath my truck, and it covers my driveway when I wash it. Even the pressure washer has a tough time getting it all off...

Lol... funny you all said that. Been there done that multiple times, but this last time was the first time where I had to stop at a car wash and go through $5 worth of quarters to get all the mud off my tires/wheels, as it was throwing my balance heavily out of whack.

Yup, nasty stuff. I drove 20 miles return trip on an active logging road where the snow had just melted off a few days earlier. Once I got up higher, the snow was 3 feet deep and the roads covered with 10 inches of snow. Pristine wilderness, a great day. Drove about 20 miles up in that virgin snow. Beautiful, but what a price to pay once you get home. Make sure you get it all out. Had my coveralls on, toque and safety goggles and laying under the truck, on 4 different days. I am sure the neighbors watching wondered what the hell was going on.

I drove it up on my ramps after to re-grease the driveshaft u-joints since I washed the heck out of them. There are 5 of them on my early 2016, same color as yours, off-road access cab.

Five bucks! I spent over $30, over one hour pressure washing, and then another 4 times doing the same at my house. I've driven a lot of mud, but that stuff was devil spawn. Just hated it.

Be sure to get it off the driveshaft and u-joints or it might feel like you are driving a 1950's Willy! Mine was like that coming out of the bush onto the highway, man thought the steering wheel was going to fly out the window!

I've got LCA skids in the mail! Doubtful that it would have helped since they don't cover much else but they'll be nice to have. My skid plate is doing its job thankfully. I will be adding more very soon. Any shops around that have done the exhaust reroute?

Went on a trail up Onion Mountain with the missus today. Was a nice drive and was very impressed with the low range one again. Did the trail in 4lo 2nd gear.

20200418_141119.jpg We also found a nice little campsite next to a little creek that feeds into Taylor creek. Will probably be back for a picnic with the dogs at some point.
