Wheeled in Southern Ohio today. It was my first time going with a group so that was a lot of fun. Usually I’m alone and some things sketch me out. It was nice having a spotter on a few sections to keep the trucks nice for the most part.

Great trails and the weather was amazing this weekend! Found a quite and wide open spot at the dispersed camping sites YP#31

Hit up the trail to Mt Hesperus in the San Juan National Forrest. Beautiful area to explore for a flatlander from Austin!

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Last Tuesday headed back for some fishing to a spot I found about 2 weeks ago. Three small trout, 10 - 12 inches (sardines really...) and few on an off the hook. Catch and release. Really nice spot, but the roads up there are so bad that I am not going back there for quite a while.

My entire body, and truck, are just thrashed. Really beat up abandoned and deactivated logging roads. Thousands of deep potholes, which is why few go to many of the spots I frequent. I have been doing these types of trips now 1 - 2 times per week, for the last 4 months now. The price you pay to find solitude and lakes to yourself, but that driving really does wear you down to the bone. Going to take a weeks rest from any of that type of driving and pick a spot next time where the logging roads are somewhat maintained. My jaw needs a break too from all the teeth gritting...
