Where Have You Off-Roaded Today? 3rd Gen

I went to Bear Valley in Alpine, CA. More than enough excitement for a beginner like me

 

went with my brother and his neighbor. They like jeeps ,but they definitely get impressed with the taco. We were out in mountains behind matlock,wa .

Did some off-roading on the Ozark Overland Adventure Trails this week in Arkansas.

 

Another fishing day. Lost my net over the side trying to net a fish. Down to the bottom it went. Out to buy a new one today...

It was a new lake for me and found a nice 4x4 access in. Hard to find these spots even with GPS and good maps. No road markings, and endless turnoffs. Stumbled onto this spot after a lot of backtracking. No one else on the lake, several small trout on the fly. Leaving for the day I dropped into a pretty deep hole with a crash. Holes did not look like much, but into a deep rut filled over with recent rain. That wakes you up.

Last weekend we went to 60-th parallel, Northern boarder of Alberta, Canada. 1136 km trip in one shot, magic of midnight sun (light twilight, to be accurate).
Time when picture was taken is 12:45 am.
Next day a bit off-roading (forest road) to fire lookout. Great times!

 

Took a trip to Montana, got a camping trip out of it. Went down Flathead Pass Rd headed West. I am now in the market for a bumper lol.
The road goes straight down this canyon to the valley below. No room for two vehicles to pass, nor turn around.



Ripped the driver side panel off the bumper. Connectors are now weather proofed til I get a new bumper.

 

I found a work site near a newly developed big box farm store here in the Midwest. They had a nice little dirt trail and we finally got some solid rain to make it a bit more fun.

Played around in some mountains today.

 

anyone running the eibach stage 2 coils on trails? curious about performance and considering ordering some soon.

 

Drove from SF to Bozeman and back last week. Saw some good stuff out in the wild.

Highlights were Jarbidge, NV and Yellowstone National Forest.

 

She’s doing well on the rubicon. Some bumps and bruises on the armor but that’s what it’s there for.

This place looks fun

 

It was a ton of fun. This place has just about everything from light trails to full blown rock crawling.

I kept on the light and moderate trails until I get some Armor.
