I'm up north on the iron range east of Virginia. Lots of places to explore. Most beyond my low comfort level lol.

We got a lot of rain these past 2 days. This is more north than Catherine Creek, up in Hector area off of Seneca Lake.

Nice photos! Your truck looks so bad ass. I finally spotted it sitting out in front of your shop the other day.

PS - watch out for the homeless down in that creek. I've had a few bad run-ins down there while taking photos.

Sooner or later the bums tend to burn themselves out of those areas. Just takes one crackhead to light his tent on fire when "cooking" and then the whole damn tent city is up in smelly flames.

But then they are back not long after.

I love the entire region. I want to eventually visit every Finger Lake (there are 11) and the surrounding areas. I've only been to the Cayuga and Seneca. I was right there by red newt yesterday.

I just peeled this sticker off, but it was in the bottom right rear window.

I mostly did it to try to remain anonymous, keep all the distinctive things about my truck to a minimum, unless you know what you’re looking at.
Like one person recognized it, but he is from CT and knew where I was from.

I am actually a volunteer photographer for my local fire department. The "photos" that I was taking down in this creek area are exactly what you referred to - fires that were started by the homeless encampments. There have been no less than 10 fires down there in the past 2 years. Usually they run off and hide from all of us when the fire suppression activities are taking place, but sometimes they stick around and cause problems.

Unfortunately, the area is a protected watershed region, so the local government can't get down there with a bulldozer and just plow over all of the vegetation, which would ultimately end the problems. So for now, it just persists. Sorry to get off topic, I just figured it was worth mentioning to anyone who is down there tromping around to just watch your back. We now resume your regularly scheduled programing :)
