Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
A morning outing. Nice walking in the snow, hundreds of animal tracks, moose, deer, cougar, and bears are awake now. Some mountain goats on the way back down below the snow line.

    Yeah
Sent her a little hard last night. It’s all I was waiting on before getting the new custom tube bumper, dropping her off at the fab shop Friday!

I gave Hungry Valley a go today as a day trip with my son. There were a few Tacos there--I saw a white OR and a LR Sport, among others.

We kept it low key, sticking to the easier trails and taking a few runs on the 4x4 training course. There's a line of Jeeps and a 4Runner in the background of one of my photos driving up a training hill with varying degrees of obstacles.

The departure angle, even in the short bed, is a limiting factor--the tow hitch lightly scraped a few times on undulating ground where approach was no problem. No surprise in hindsight given the 32 / 23.5 / 21 approach/departure/breakover angle breakdown. I also managed to bottom the frame on one test obstacle with a deep rut on one side--it's nice to find the limits when backing up or going around an obstacle safely is an option.

Crawl Control is still a gadget-y curiosity for me, but it was impressive climbing up and down the steep-ass training hill. Good to have in the tool kit, I suppose, if a steep grade is encountered in real life.

this was over a couple days this week. and bear with me not all pics are offroad but plays into the entire trip.

after turning around because of the 11 car pile up we got stuck in more bumper to bumper traffic so i looked for a alternate route which lead me to this.

the alternate route much to my pleasure turned into a dirt road.

it was traffic and freeway the rest of the way from here.

didnt really go looking for offroading but ended up doing a little. i think the dirt is constantly call me to it :p

Had a great President's Day weekend in Sedona, AZ. Lunch in the shade near the Honanki Heritage Site (in the background), nice cliff dwelling ruins there. Next day did the Broken Arrow trail, fun! Couple pics from Submarine Rock. Earned my pinstripes!

I was up there this weekend as well. Perfect weekend besides all the tourists. I hit up a couple of trails and did some hiking at Devils Bridge.

I ended up at Broken Arrow as well. Primarily a mountain biking trip, but Sedona was beautiful, despite the heavy traffic.

I have my eye on that bumper...what winch are you running? I was wondering if the Traveller X 10,000 lb Winch would fit in there.

Did 72 miles of trails on all terrain tires with no issues. A lot less of a hassle than the RAV4 from three years ago. There were two times rne rock sliders saved me (no trim damage.)

I may have had a lead foot coming back
Home on a nice strait stretch of highway with no traffic. I’m not joking but a Texas Public Safety officer appeared out of nowhere and got me. Claimed I was going 101 but no way I was going over 82. Regardless not bad considering 450 with differed adjudication…. just pissed me off that people were passing me earlier that were clearly going 130+….

i agree. I know I was speeding but our tacos are not that fast. Maybe and just maybe if you pushed it out of an airplane at 200 mph you might be able to clock it at 101 before air resistance gets to it.
