Just got home.4 day trip to Ocotillo wells. Just needed to unwind by myself for a few days.
Got stuck at devils slide the first night @BamBeds stopped by to pull me out.
Still better then being at work lol.
Man the Billstine 6112 and 5160 with No sway bar is amazing out here, more body roll but much much smoother over stock.

    Yeah
Took 3 other Toyotas and a Subaru out today. After the subi peeled off we moved onto some tougher trails and ran into problems. The other quicksand Tacoma busted a CV trying to get up a rock ledge a little to hard. She was last in the caravan up Albright hill and didn’t get to see the line me and the other taco and the 4R took and I think her inexperience got the best of her and made her panic and try to bump over it when she could of just crawled. But we got her calmed down when she realized it wasn’t as bad as she thought (she first thought it was the whole diff) and came up with a plan to get her down and get the CV out so she could drive home.

What was the plan that you all came up with? I'm still new to all of this and enjoy learning as much as possible. Thanks!

    Yeah
    @Ttyler3
Just how to get her moved over on the trail around the obstacle that was keeping her from reversing straight back then getting her the rest of the way down the trail to flat ground to actually start taking shit apart.

Exploring Deschutes NF. Found some potential campsites. Fingers crossed we have a weak fire season!

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Another fishing trip yesterday, just tiny 10 inch trout this time. Had this lake to myself and that is the best part.

This lake is getting to be bad luck for me. Last year I dropped my net over the side trying to net a big trout. Down to the bottom it went. Yesterday I could not find my satellite phone. Walked to the shoreline and there it was in 2 feet of water beside the boat. It is fully completely, dead.

A head frame at an old tungsten and tin mine in eastern California. In the lower right is a bat cupola covering a shaft (bat-friendly, keeps humans out).

Sorry, don't feel comfortable sharing the location. But if you wander around the eastern CA mountains, there's stuff like this all over the place. Explore and you will find cool stuff. Hint: maps hold many secrets.

This was 2x4 high-clearance friendly. Like all deserts, there's lots of sand, but if you know how to drive in a desert, you will have zero issues.

Squeezing under a railroad bridge to drive up Macedonia Canyon. The Tacomas just barely fit, the Ford took digging and flattening of tires to barely fit (I do mean flat).

We did Silver Canyon 4x4 trail in the Eastern Sierras near Bishop. We went from 4,000 ft to over 10,000ft in a few miles. Definitely a beautiful view of the Sierras.

Nice video! looks like a cool trail!
Check out my post right below yours. We were in Bishop over memorial day weekend at 10,000 feet just outside of Bishop but we were close to mono. Looks like we had similar ambitions!!
