LBL “land between the lakes” in Tennessee/Kentucky… still love this truck as much as I did when I first bought it. Would love to have a little more room for the kids who are getting older and bigger but other than that I’ll be keeping it until the wheels fall off 330F4220-1635-42CC-98B4-8A2D48139044.jpg9F1B8613-E707-4682-95C1-5A7480D50746.jpg 641E148D-21B6-4885-BD1B-FC7C56E054EF.jpgBB1A11F2-74F1-4D7A-A4AC-9742FCEE8228.jpg

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.

That is a beautiful area that one, very nice pics. Those narrow trails on bluffs can be spooky, as you never know when a loose hillside will come down. And the usual crap of what to do if someone comes the other way when on a truck width trail with no pullouts. I hate those long reverses...

This is my likely destination for this week, the red circled spot in the upper left of this map.

I tried to get to this lake a week ago from the north end but could not make it as the road was too rough and only suitable for ATV.

So I found this deep forest trail that might be an alternate route in from the southeast side. Apparently very good fishing. No idea what condition the trail is in, but hopefully better than the north end.

Endless exploring all in the goal to find each time a lake to myself.

If I can't get in, there are at least a dozen other accessible lakes nearby that I can fish, but man when you find one of those remote lakes with hot fishing it is sure nice.

Maybe I need to get one of those electric bicycles to get me in the rest of the way on some of the lakes not suitable for 4x4. Might be an option. I don't have storage space for an ATV or such.

    Thanks!

Adapter is from @AdrenaliNate, @codyjphoto helped me out with getting in touch with him about it. Great product. I drilled a hole in the snorkel and used one of the side bolts on the rack to secure it. Put a couple black washers between the snorkel and rack to space it out.

    A bunch of junk
Yes I mounted mine same way. Very solid.
@AdrenaliNate helped me out, I contacted him and was like... I need this to do this. Couple test bits later and we made a very solid one. I have had zero issues. I used a self tapping screw (from my leg bone actually) to attach adapter to airaid.

I recommend you go during a week day as the weekends can be very crowded. We were there during the week only saw the Pink Jeep tour guys and a few hikers.

Made it out to Michaux State Forest this past weekend for some camping and to visit Gettysburg with some friends. Cruised some forest roads enjoying the fall foliage and hung out at camp. Didn't take any pics while driving but have one of the tacos back at camp.

Not too far off... Does have the vibe for sure. Its is just inside the Rubicon trail as you enter at Loon Lake. We landed there last Saturday as we entered the trail in the evening. Camped right after we got in. The Rubicon is the most awesome trail ever. WAY harder than I expected and very pleased my truck made it.

I did indeed run the entire Rubicon. At least from Loon Lake to Tahoe. It was awesome and very challenging.
The mod list is correct but need to add: 5.29s, Eaton E-lockers front and rear (front was only used a handful of times and might have been able to be done with it), High Clear bumpers F/R, Rock Sliders, and lots of armor. All the bumpers/armor/sliders were well used. Body/sheet metal all made it out clean!

Had so much fun in LBL we went back and hit up Ginger Ridge/ Turkey creek area of LBL today. Very nice 4x4 trials and my photography does this place very little justice! Great place I’d highly recommend to Tacoma owners who like to go off roading.. per the on x off-road app which helped me find these spots they’re a 2/10 difficulty for 4x4 2DE56BC8-8B82-47A5-99B0-111E1456CD4D.jpg8D3BCC44-2C48-4D6E-8098-E0CDC721353C.jpg 939F4DAA-9F3D-4D96-813F-1C6181CD8A9A.jpgA982B9DF-6C53-4E83-9823-B0523BDED5A9.jpg 245688B2-439F-485E-B56C-670398086B84.jpg

Land between the lakes right? Got to spend a few hours there on my way to Kentucky once and it was indeed beautiful! Wish we could have camped and explored a little more than we did.
