I saw a parked pre-Tacoma single cab 4wd pickup today with a For Sale sign on it. Clean and straight, and stock-looking, but nothing special. $6500. By the way both our kids can drive manual, and both my wife’s and daughter’s cars are sticks; our son and I drive automatics. After teaching our kids, we learned that they taught some of their friends to drive manual on my wife’s old car, which is now our daughter’s. It’s over 20 years old and still on the original clutch so they were good teachers.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
    Awesome!

Exactly. No gas, it just crawls in 1st 4 lo, uphill no gas pedal needed even with a MT.

My dad and I hunting in winter up Sylvester road up to Salisbury lake. The BC guys will know where that is.

We hit the snowline at 16 inch deep undriven snow. One older Toyo 4x4 and one Jeep, both stuck in the wet snow. Shovelling themselves out.

We just motor past and continue up the steep hill.

I clean up shooting sites all the time when I'm out there. It's called being a good steward. Just because others are pigs doesn't mean we get to add to it.

Here's my last trip up San Jacinto Truck trail. Did we have to stop and grab empty beer cans on the trail? No, but we did it because it's the right thing to do.

Exploring a valley west side of Kelowna today. Two male bighorn sheep trying to mate an ewe.

Should have brought my digital camera and zoom lens today. Always wildlife when I don’t bring it.

Nice easy driving today which was a great relief. Too much pounding this summer. My chiclets are shaking loose.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
River Road West out to Sierra Chino camp in Big Bend. 103* according to the truck. A lot of washes and flood plain for the Rio Grand. The road was closed somewhere ahead of us, the rangers really wouldn't say. So it was an afternoon out and back. We tried to get to river gauge, but the mud started getting a little "stuck" potential to it without many good winch anchor poiints, so we stopped a little short. We were also making fresh tracks and running solo. Mostly 2WD, but you need the clearance. If it had been wet, 4WD all day and aired down a bit more than I did.

Probably the main weak point on the ford ifs. I didn't know the UCA mounts were double shear from the factory and those spindles are beefy, makes me jelly.

The North Cascades are the best! One of my favorite parks haven't been since 2020. That is one of the only things I miss about living in Washington State
