Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Wow, that is bad! I must admit, I am far offroad and never see another soul on my frequent remote trips. I never see any garbage as few go to the same spots.

If I do venture anywhere closer to home, I will see some garbage, but very little. That sure is bad.

This was a trip at the end of October, beginning of November. Moab is breathtaking... Glad you had fun and made it out safely! Too bad about the trash. It certainly is sad.

No trash or people (redundant?) in the Sequoia NF yesterday. At 8200' we saw a few inches of snow. The snow level was around 6000'.

Took a quick trip up Sloan Canyon just outside Vegas. Great start to the new year!

Which trails did you run while in Moab? Looks like it was a great trip!

Lol. I actually have no idea.

I was there for a work trip, so the locals had already set everything up on where we were going. I only had to follow along.

I know we spent 1 day at White Wash Sands, other than that, no idea...

Were they able to get out, or did you guys become the Bronco Recovery Team? :D

    We were the Bronco.

    We buried it on purpose.

We were there doing recovery training, so to do recoveries, you need stuck vehicles, so we got this one stuck (as well as a bunch more).

That sounds like a fun time for sure! Did you get a chance to try out the crawl control on your taco to get unstuck from the sand?

Unfortunately I didn't even take the Tacoma. It was a work trip, so we flew into SLC, rented a car and then we drove "company vehicles" for our offroad adventures.

It was a really great trip. Someday I'll get out there in my personal vehicle.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
    Snow trails again today.

I could only get half as far as last time which was a couple weeks ago. Temperatures have been + 5c for weeks so the snow up at high elevation is slick as baby snot now.

Two trips ago to this same trail, I drove 20km in 2wd before switching to 4wd. This trip on the same trail, once I hit 10 inches of fresh snow on top of the 8 inches of hard packed old snow, I could not even get the truck to budge an inch on the flats. That other trip in the same depth of snow, I motored another 10km past that spot in 2wd.

Not all snow is created equal…

Once I could not drive further, parked it and went for a nice snow hike.

Only tracks today were from snow mobiles, and even a cross country ski track. Tons of game tracks as usual. West side mountain goats near the bottom feeding in a wildfire zone.
