Wannabe big time! But not bad for a stock truck. ALSD is real good stuff.

I had a successful tuning day on my hot saw yesterday converting it from Sunoco SS100 to 5% Nitro. So I decided I had to take a break and have some fun with the stocker.

Nice our Sun lets us take a shot of it now and then.

Went to Citrus today, place could be real fun after it rains. Took it easy since I was alone and had a good time.

Mt Piños: very soft snow with some area is at least 1 feet deep of soft snow to play.

As I get near the top, the winding road is bad enough. The ice hidden in the shade at the curve makes it dangerous. Almost every other curve is like this. At the straight, the road is dry and clear thanks to the sun. But at most of the curve, especially if there’s shade, there’s ice. You can’t see it because you’re coming in from the bright sun on the straight into the shade on the curve. Switching back & forth from 2wd-4wd isn’t fast enough to help. The first skid I went over to the opposite lane, I almost poop in my pant. My tires are brand new Falken Wildpeak AT3W and traveling around 25-30mph. After that I slow to 5-10mph at any curve that has shade & that made a few people from behind impatience. I move over to let them go. The next curve, they skid to the next lane and after that they slow down at every curve to 5-10mph .

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
The first pic. Drove 180km of this the last few days around town, city driving.

We take my wifes 2013 AWD RAV4 for this stuff in the city.

Gets around city snow way better than my 2016 Tacoma TRD OR, even though the Tacoma has the better snow tires and 500 pounds of sand bags in the bed. The RAV4 way better for cornering and stopping.

Mid size and smaller 4wd pickups are never as good as AWD SUVs in slick and icy city snow. They are good in off road snow when you need the extra clearance, like this pic when I drive in the mountains.

For city snow, RAV4 every time…
