Thanks for the tip! That might have been the cause— my buddy had told me it was an easier trail back then when he last did it, I had not even considered putting it in 4lo haha

Did the Sitkum Soleduck trail today. Nice and easy but got some new pinstriping out of it.

Where I wanted to drive today, but the AZ - DOT closed the road at the top of the hill, 9 miles east of Tortilla Flat, AZ. The road is the brown side-to-side-and-down (look for the white circle-shape on the right-edge that is on the road), the road closure is a little off-camera to the right (did not include it in the photo). The road wiggles behind the yellow rock on the left edge. If you zoom in on the left-exposed part of the darker-distant ridge, you can see the distant part of the same road wiggling up hill ...

DOT ... here to make your road-life better!

EDIT: The picture looks better in original, and I uploaded "maximum". But this is a lot of picture so ... sorry about the "distant part of the road" fuzziness ...

What are the dark areas in the center of the picture? Are there two?

Picture has annotations, big oval for the ridge, small for what should be the road. My iPhone SE does not have the best camera for the double transfer (iPhone to Mac to TW). Line for the closest road.

All I can say is "a shadow". I have no recollection of that being notable. Does look a bit like a "phantom shadow" in a photograph from "Amityville", though ...

Yeah - I couldn’t figure what was casting the shadow. I keep seeing two donkeys - one with his head up, the other head down.

At least no Amityville glowing red eyes!

Thanks. That video does more justice to the road challenge than any of my pictures.
