I too want to not like the Ram, but if you drive one, you quickly realize how good it is. The ZF 8 speed transmission makes this Taco 6 speed feel like something from 1975. The interior and infotainment are dramatically better. The 5.7 V8 (especially at this altitude) still has some grunt, whereas this 3.5 feels like I'm driving around with the parking brake on. They definately cost too much, but used ones are reasonable

 

If you want a V8 in the standard Ram 1500 you better act quick. The V8 has been replaced with the in-line 6 Turbo = Hurricane. Once they get the bugs worked out it will be engine to have. Crazy power and torque - but still a manufacturer and mothership that has a terrible reputation and extremely bad warranty fulfillment issue - stall, no parts, and every other method known to the industry to not deliver.
