    Thanks Taczilla
I wrote to that Canadian distributor.
Though the idea of getting that through the mail ,i don t really like that.
I would rather drive down to Montreal,or Ottawa,if i can find a store that do sell them.
    Again,thanks for your time Marc.
    My regards

I'm willing to bet money one of your local Toyota dealers could bring in 5100's though they will probably charge you up the arse for them. Most Toyota dealers deal with Toytec. Toytec happens to carry the 5100. Most dealers also happen to love extreme mark up. So if you really have to pick up locally and don't want to do the work to find a specialty retailer you could always go to the dealer and just ask the parts department if they can get them.

If it were me I'd just go to Châteauguay like another member mentioned. It's just outside Montreal though I haven't been there personally in years.

    Hi Sterdog
Yes probably Toyota would do it with at least a hundred more.
I already have a guy that will do the work, and it is another place in Town.
I might ask the oart guy though about it at Toyota ,he s a great guy to deal with.
Where i found them, i can get those a little more then 525 plus shipping,so it is a very good deal.
I did nt know that the warrenty was only three years though, that does concern me,but i relly do take care of that Tacoma and don t abuse it at all.
    Thanks again

Since Toyota will install only the original ones that came with my truck, then i am waiting for a quote from 4 Wheels in Montreal.
I found out yesterday that they do install shocks and whatever they sell i guess.
So i will have them put my shocks on if the price is fair.
I asked my Toyota Dealer if they could order those Bilstein 5100 and told me no,and can only order what was on the Tacoma.
I had my batterie changed last Thursday over there, and he told me no about the shocks.
So i will go else where.

Smiths falls isnt even 4hrs from montreal.... Its barely an hr from dowtown ottawa...To save money and be sure you get the right parts i strongly suggest that you order from one of the two toyota dealerships in alberta that sell everything you can find on Toytec.... Most dealers are morons and the youve been dealing with is one of these.. Order them with new springs already installed and save the labour on putting old stock spings on new coils that will be compressed and wear out prematurely.

    Hi Bzzr2
I would have given the job to my Toyota Dealer in town, but he s just too independant!
4wheels in Chateaugay Montreal will sell me the parts, and even install them.
They glave me a price yesterday and it sounded pretty reasonable.
    Thanks

    Hey OP,

From what I gather from our PM's, you don't seem to understand that shopping for aftermarket parts is not like shopping for groceries. The parts you want are not on the shelf like peanut butter, jelly, bread and milk ...ummmm.... sammich!.

4Wheel Parts will not order the parts in and 'hope/trust' that you will come pick them up. That is why they are not answering your requests to call/email you when the shocks come in. You haven't committed to the deal.

You either need to pay first, or at least make a healthy deposit, then the vendor will order the parts. This to keep you honest on your end, and protect the vendor from being stuck with hard to sell specialty inventory should you decide to back out.

It's the way of the world, my man! Pay first... play later!

    Now on to my sammich...

    Yes that does make sence.
Though,i though that such a place would keep those in stock, but i did had some mail this week and will have to give a deposit first.
Now,i am also interested in giving them the installation, but if something is nt right, then for me it becomes a problem because we are one hour and a half away.
So i don t know anymore.
Should i find someone that would do the installation in my town??
    We ll see
    Thanks again

    Hi Sterdog
Talk about extreme mark up to install Bilstein 5100 at a near Toyota Dealer.
Yes i found one Toyota dealer on the Quebec side.
They want 1694 dollars including taxes, for Bilstein 5100 ( labor, shocks taxes)
That is about 700 dollars more then 4wheels.
So i am trying to get an apointment with 4 wheels .
I would nt have mind to pay a couple hundred more, but 7 hundred more, this is way too much!
    Regards
    Charly

That's cheap. I've seen dealers ask that much for spacer lifts.

As you already know, they are now installed, and 4 Wheels in Chateaugay did it.
Miguel over there is great to deal with.
    Cheers everyone.
