My truck is suppose to have the towing package but I just spent 30 min under the dash trying to find the plug in for the trailer brake. If someone could please show pictures of where it is would be awesome. I have to pick up my new camper tomorrow and need it for taking it home, thanks.

did it come with the pig-tail for wiring to your trailer-brake controller (should be in glove box)? if not then maybe you don't have a factory tow package.

I had the same problem with my truck, it has the factory light wiring, the Toyota receiver, but nothing else. I assume it was dealer installed instead of factory equipped. mine is a base model though, which I understand cant come factory with tow package.

It took a tech at my local dealer 30 minutes to find mine. He had to pull the plastic kick piece down by the drivers left foot. He found it bundled(taped) together with some other wires. Once he cut the bundle open it was obvious.

Stick with it, it's there. Mine was also tucked in and taped to another wire bundle. Took me an hour to find it with a couple of long breaks to stretch out my back due to laying under the dash with a flashlight for so long. Good luck.

You will never see the plug, you have to feel for it behind a bunch of wires. You'll feel the plug end flopping loose, give it a tug and it'll pull free pretty easily giving you about 6 inches of slack.

I found it, it was way up under the dash behind a group of wires where you couldn't see at all, thanks for every ones help. It took a few seconds to hook up after I found it

I must have gotten lucky, mine was out in the open. Albeit tucked up in there. Toughest part was connecting the two plugs with one hand.
