I’m not sure on the exacts of your move, but we are moving to south central Virginia next year. Born and raised in California. THIS is not the the California I was raised in. I refuse to continue to follow such hypocritical bullshit so we are out. Nearly every part of life is cheaper out in VA. The mountains may be our foot hills, but fly fishing and camping are only minutes away instead of hours. The land is so much more user friendly and the people are tons nicer too. Not to mention the fall colors and the true four seasons. None of which includes fire season.

Sounds great. I’ve lived in over a dozen states. Vermont was home before California. I’ve been in CA since 2011 and I’m over it. I’ve recently had two offers made to me, one in Colorado Springs, and the other in far north CA, Crescent City. But Wyoming and Montana could also be nice. It’s a big country…

I would do Montana before Wyoming. And crescent city is still Ca so I would never choose that one. I liked Colorado Springs when I was there and have a few close friends who live there and they seem to love the area.
