As someone who has never offroaded before, a miniscule budget, and a stock prerunner... Where do I begin to get into the obsession of offroading. It seems like a blast and I want in but have no idea where to start. Suggestions? How did you guys get into it?

Same here! I'm just getting into this and planning on going on some trails this weekend with my taco.

Go to the regional section of this forum and find a group close to you and go on a wheeling trip with them. Let them know you are new and that you have a stock 2wd. Best lesson and introduction you could yet.

Don't spend any money until you go out and make sure you like it and see where your capabilities are and what type of wheeling you like to do.

I'm hoping I like it because reading old threads of trip reports seems like there's always a good time to be had. Definitely will try to find a group! Thanks!

I live near McKinney! What trails are you planning to go on? I don't know of anywhere nearby without being on construction sites or someone's property..

I've been looking around the internet, the only place I can find locally and legal is Bridgeport, Texas
