Im looking for a JDM engine and want to know where people have bought one from. Basically looking for recommendations. Im driving to Washington state from Florida in the coming weeks and will pick one up along the way.

I've read a lot about jdm engines and that there is no guarantee about the milage. but maybe there is someone that has knowledge about a high quality seller.

    Appreciate the help, thanks.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Are you just driving or moving to Washington? Check out the Washington area local forum.

You want to purchase as close to your local area as possible . Check out the importers nearest to your final location

Nothing is worse then paying freight shipping engines back and forth . Not to mention damage claims if you get a bad one. One person received 2 they still paid all the labor for 3 engine swaps.

I'd much rather look on car-part.com and find a USDM lower mileage one if you can and go that route. Seems I have seen more bad stories about JDM engines than good. The good stories seemed to be engines they took completely down and replaced everything. JDM = lots of sitting around, by sea water or who knows exactly.

I've been saying this same thing forever. Never been a fan of the quirkiness of having an engine outside your market. It makes certain parts even harder to obtain. Let's face it, as our trucks age, we don't need any help with that.
