I started with Troy (from your link) and he originally quoted me $90 more for each level of coverage. I went back to Troy after getting the quote I listed from Jerry. Short story, Troy will match them to get a sale but can't beat them.

I checked both of my local dealers and they won't touch 7/125/$0 for $1009.

I went with Troy of Greenfield Toyota. Smooth deal with him. Dealer quoted $1350 for 7 year 75,000 mile for my 2009 4.0 L Automatic Sport 4x4. Would not budge off price.

Troy sold me 8 year 100,000 Platinum for $1105. This plan was $1800 at the dealership.

This is the first extended warranty I have bought. I like that Toyota added that 8th year to it, as I do not drive it a lot of miles. I hope I end up wasting my money but if not $1000 repair bill is easy to cover. This is also my first automatic in nearly 30 years and I remember automatics always needing repair when I was first driving. I'm sure they are much better now than then but at least I know I'm covered from a $2000 - $2500 transmission bill for the next 8 years.

When I bought my Tacoma 2006 V6 two months ago, I also bought an extender warranty from the dealership($2300) but I remember my previous taco 1999 V6 last 300K with only repairs starter($65) and new a radiator($150).Everything else was working even my automatic transmission. So, I cancelled my extender warranty and opened a saving account with the refunds. Tacoma trucks is very reliable and if you keep it with a good routine maintenance, it will last long time.

I purchased a 2010 Toyota Tacoma in BC. I was wonderding if you could forward the info from the agency you purchased your extended warranty. I was looking at the options I had when I purchased the vehicle and thought the 5y/100K extended warranty was overpriced. The salesman refuse to move on the price. I turned it down. Any help would be appreciated.

dealer here...let me know what kind of miles you drive in a year and how long you want a service agreement for and I will quote you on one and we can take care of it via a credit card. only consider the toyota backed warranty. its the best and has the least amount of holes in it. let me know.

I bought a $1,700 warranty.. Sounds like a lot.. However, it is a money back warranty. If I don't use $1,800 worth of "coverage" I get the money back. However, if I have $5,000 worth of work done it's all covered..
I just traded in a 4Runner (03) with 240,000 miles, I had done hardly anything to.. So I figure I'm covered either way. If I have no problems like my 4Runner did, I get the money back. If I have a disaster, like my Ford Expedition was, I will have it all covered.
    Just another option..

here you go... toyota service agreement for 7yr/75000 miles (about 120500 kilos) is $700. us dollars plus 6% sales tax for the $50 deductible program. $800. us dollars for the $0 deductible. its the platinum plan, which is the best coverage they offer. its good anywhere in the us and canada. let me know...:)

Troy Dietrich at Greenfield Toyota - for a Canadian Truck there is a $100 charge, so for the 7 year / 100k miles warranty, you're looking at $1045 USD.

I can answer for everyone, only myself but.....
My truck is at the dealers right now @ 40k getting extended warranty work done (not powertrain) so I answer yes. I am glad I have it. Some may say its a waste, but there were too many bugs before my 3/36 was up so I bought it thru troy right before it expired.

Troy sells Toyota Platinum Warranties. Don't buy one of those second party ones.
