Can you elaborate on this? Are you talking about customcargrilles.com? I just watched their installation video and there is all kinds of cutting and trimming.

On another note why can't someone make these where you remove the old insert and install the new and be done with it?

I like those grills also, I think they would look just as good without any letters on them.

BF Fabricating.com makes them. Comes all in one piece with oem paint match. I have been looking at them.

I'm sorry I don't have the link. Just type in google BF Fabricating.com and should come up.

Here is the site I think he was referring to
    http://www.bpfabricating.com

I tried the other one and it went to a steel fab shop for stairs etc.

I'll be doing this hopefully in the next week or so. Got the grill mesh from customcargrills already and ordered a set of aluminum letters (old school style) that I plan on just mounting to the grill without painting them.
I've got a silver streak tacoma so I think the contrast with the bare aluminum agains the black will look good. The letters are 3.5" tall and when spaced about 28" wide. They are from @TheStevo and since I haven't put the grill on to the truck will be a lot easier to apply than when the mesh is actually on the grill.

Later I may get a BAMF behind-the-grill light mounting bracket but not sure as of yet. One dang project at a time...!
