I am running 35x14.50's and I want to regear the truck to get better performance, especially while pulling something. Its a manual 03 with the sport package. I am wondering what is the gear ratio stock and would 4:88 ratio be the best option? Also where is the best place to get the gears from. Is it fairly easy to change them out yourself or would I need to bring it in somewhere. Thanks for the info.

You should have 4.10 gears IIRC. Not sure where to get them though.
You must be dragging ass with those gears and 35's.

It really doesnt seem that bad unless I am trying to pull something, but I'm sure a gear upgrade would make a world of difference.

The 2003's have the 7.5" front and 8" rear right?

The fronts are 7.5 IIRC, and the rear in a TRD is 8" and the rear in a non-TRD is 8.4".

On a side note, do 15" wheels fit on these trucks? 16's are stock right?

im not sure about the 01-04 but on mine which is a 98 it came stock with a 15. i think you can put 15's on those too and your gonna lose a decent bit of gas mileage with 488's i would recommend a 4:56 gear.. and google off road shops in your area or check around at your local mechanic shops they may do diff. work and you can order them off websites just google which gear set you want and it will probably come up with websites you can order them from
